Making an easy four-digit horsepower, this Mercedes-AMG C63 would make a great daily and an amazing weekend warrior.

1000HP AWD Mercedes C63 GAD Motors

There was a time, not terribly long ago, when four-digit horsepower was reserved for only the wildest, track-focused machines – not necessarily street cars. The reasoning for this is that it wasn’t very easy to make that kind of power years ago, and it essentially made a vehicle difficult or simply downright unpleasant to drive on public roads in stoplight to stoplight situations. Those days are obviously over, as we see all sorts of 1,000+ horsepower machines these days, with many even used as daily drivers. We’re not sure if that’s the case with the wicked Mercedes-AMG C63 featured in this video from cvdzijan, but it certainly could be.

This video covers the antics of the built Mercedes-AMG C63 at the Flevo Auto Show in the Netherlands, a popular gathering spot for high horsepower cars of all kinds. Tuned by GAD Motors, the sporty coupe reportedly sends its 1,000 horsepower to all four wheels, making it a proper rocketship by anyone’s standards. That much is on display in the video here, where it lines up against a similarly powerful Honda Civic for a properly close drag race.

As for the Honda, it’s been tweaked by the folks at Sneaky Tuning, who managed to squeeze 1,050 horsepower out of it thanks to a turbo of some sort, though we don’t know much about the specifics regarding it or its luxurious foe. Regardless, we do get to see the two cars duke it out in a straight line for glory, and that’s certainly worth the price of admission.

After making easy work of another pair of Mercedes models and a BMW 3-Series that simply roasts the tires and gets sideways when it tries to launch, the C63 sets its sights on a more evenly matched foe – the tiny Civic hatchback. The Honda gets a head start thanks to cutting a better light, but the heavier Mercedes then uses its power to motor back in the fight. The result is a race so close that it’s a real photo finish – in fact, we don’t even know who won. Regardless, this wicked Mercedes-AMG C63 is clearly a versatile machine, one that could easily serve double duty as a daily driver and weekend track warrior – and that makes it extra cool in our book.
