Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of the finest luxury sedans on the market but sadly, it is well beyond the budgets of most new car buyers. However, if you’re willing to looking at used examples, it’s possible to find a bargain.

This 2007 S65 AMG could prove to be just that, though as we’ve seen many, many times in the past, one should always be extremely cautious with these luxury rides that can hide premium maintenance bills that are equivalent to their new car and not used car pricing. That’s usually reflected in their lower acquisition price once the warranty is out.

Nevertheless, to our eyes, this generation of S-Class has always been one of the best-looking and the S65 is particularly striking thanks to its bespoke bodywork. This particular example has also been equipped with a set of 20-inch Avant Garde wheels and has allegedly been well-maintained throughout the years.

The S65 AMG has been listed up for sale through Bring a Trailer and is painted in Iridium Silver Metallic. A Carfax report reveals that the right side of the car was damaged in 2012 but later repaired while in 2018, it also suffered some damage to the rear but that was also repaired. Wrapped around the 20-inch wheels are Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 255/35 front and 285/35 at the rear.

While the interior does look a little dated compared to current Mercedes-Benz models, it is still very luxurious and loaded with features. The seats, door panels, dashboard, and transmission tunnel are clad in Black Exclusive leather. This S65 was also fitted with individual rear seats from the factory, rather than a bench seat, and the rear seats offer massage, heating, and cooling functions, and can even recline.

Other cool features of the potent sedan include a heated steering wheel, Night View Assist, a COMAND infotainment system, rear window shades, Keyless-GO, and Distronic Plus cruise control.

Power comes courtesy of a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 churning out 604 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. All of this power is sent to the rear wheels courtesy of a five-speed Speedshift automatic transmission and the car recently underwent a service that included an oil change, a cooling system function, and the replacement of the spark plugs.

The car has been driven just over 97,000 miles (156,000 km) and was actually previously sold on Bring a Trailer in February 2020 for $22,250. It will be interesting to see how much it sells for this time.
