Mercedes-AMG G 63 Venuum Mastodon V3 Special Version

Some tuners try a bit too much to make their projects stand out, yet going the extra mile in this game often means that the result is on the kitschy side of things. Hey, I said “often” not “always,” and if you don’t believe me, just take a look at the build shared below.
 

The project is called the Venuum Mastodon V3, and it is the so-called Black Satin Edition. Between us, this tuned Mercedes-AMG G 63 wouldn’t have been half bad if the tuner, which is apparently based in Europe yet its address lists Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, used more common sense and decided to keep things a bit simpler.
 
After all, what is wrong with the OEM headlights and taillights of the iconic Mercedes G-Wagen’s second generation? Allow me to answer this question: absolutely nothing! However, Venuum decided to replace the headlights with some rectangular ones, for whatever reason, and the housing needed to be created from scratch as a result. The same goes for the taillights and the reflectors at the rear.
 

I do not necessarily think that the sharp-looking rear diffuser fits the design, and the shark-like gills replicated on the side skirt attachments do not necessarily do justice to the Mercedes-AMG G 63. The same can be said about the hood, which is on the OTT kind of things, as well as the chin spoiler that was attached to the new bumper.
 
Elsewhere, this Mercedes-AMG G 63 is not half bad. It features some rather cool fender flares, and the front bumper overall can easily pass as something that would come from Brabus’ portfolio. The rear bumper is also quite cool, save for what I said above about the diffuser, and the custom spare wheel holder is not bad at all, either. And guess what? Neither is the satin black look, as this thing suits the G-Wagen’s nature perfectly, in my opinion, anyway.
 
Inside, the Venuum Mastodon pictured above combines black and white leather upholstery, and some suede inserts, by the looks of it, as well as some fresh floor mats, and a few other bits and bobs that are not visible in the short footage released on social media, which is visible below right after the jump.
 

Like before, we know nothing about the firepower of this Venuum Mastodon, yet that probably means that the V8 engine remains stock, likely pushing out the usual 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque and 577 bhp (430 kW/585 ps).
 
Now, whether it has more oomph or not is kind of irrelevant, as there are plenty of tuners out there that can modify to the 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine to insane heights. What matters is whether you like this project. So, do you? I guess you already know my answer, so I’ll keep it to myself this time.
