This Brabus B63S 700 4×4² is a ONE OF ONE – it is a special factory sanctioned conversion. Brabus worked for 5 months with Mercedes parts suppliers and their German engineers to turn this 2016 G63 AMG into a 4×4² BEAST.

1 OF 1 BRABUS G63 G700 SQUARED – TRUE BRABUS FACTORY-SANCTIONED G WAGON BUILD

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² is quite a remarkable vehicle but to the surprise of many, it was not based around the more powerful G63 AMG variant. That’s where Brabus stepped in.

Inspired by the original G500 4×4², Brabus decided to build its own variant which was based on the G63, meaning it was equipped with the more desirable 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged M157 V8 rather than the less powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the G500. One of the rare Brabus models was recently sold through Cars & Bids for a cool $247,500.

This is also the only example of the Brabus G700 4×4² that was built locally in the United States. It has been driven just 6,600 miles (~10,600 km) since it was built in 2016 and to transform it from a standard G63 into a 4×4², the tuner fitted portal axles, Ohlins dampers, jacked-up the ride height, and slotted on 18-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires. The off-roader has also been equipped with a central tire inflation system, Eibach springs, and Brabus brakes.

The G700 4×4² catches the eye thanks to the complete Brabus carbon fiber body kit that includes new front and rear bumpers and flared wheel arches. It also sports power-operated side steps, tinted headlights, and front and rear skid plates. The upgrades continue in the cabin with a Brabus steering wheel, aluminum pedals, new door lock pins, door sill and rear cargo scuff plates, and new floormats.

As implied by its name, the G700 4×4²’s G63-derived engine has also been upgraded with distinct turbochargers, an ECU tune, different catalytic converters, and gold heat shields on the air intake and charge air pipes, helping it to pump out 690 hp and 708 lb-ft (960 Nm) of torque.

Spending almost $250,000 on an extensively modified G63 is a lot of money, particularly when you consider that the G500 4×4² built by Mercedes itself cost $256,000 when it was new. However, we suspect this beast probably turns more heads than a similarly-priced supercar in some parts of the country.
