If you somehow missed it with all the things happening in the automotive world today, the latest G-Wagen is not available as a Maybach. But could that change?

We want to say yes, but the truth is that we don’t know. Perhaps the automaker would give its iconic truck such a makeover toward the end of its life. After all, the Landaulet was the model that sent off the previous generation a few years ago, so we do not see why the current G-Class would not get the Maybach treatment eventually.
However, if you know where to look, you could pretty much design your very own Mercedes-Maybach G-Class, as there are plenty of tuners that have what it takes in order to make the iconic G-Wagen truly spectacular. One of the companies that could answer this question is Carlex Design, as we have all seen what the famous Polish tuner is capable of.

As for the G-Wagen pictured above, it is a two-tone proposal with a navy blue-like paint finish on the upper section and part of the rear spare wheel holder, and silver used on the lower parts of the body. The two colors are separated by a yellow pinstripe. The wheels came from Vossen’s portfolio and they are on the large side of things, though they do not look out of place at all on this particular Mercedes-AMG G 63, this writer thinks.
If you look closely at the exterior of this Mercedes-AMG G 63, you will see a snakeskin-like pattern on certain elements, as well as what seems to be an octopus on the rear spare wheel holder. The latter was also replicated on the logos, and can also be seen on the center caps. This g-Wagen also features a custom interior, combining gray and yellow leather upholstery with some navy blue touches.

Images of this project were shared on social media by Vossen a few days ago. The famous wheelmaker did not have much to say about this build, other than the fact that it rides on HF-9 alloys with a silver polished look, and that it is located in Korea. Nevertheless, it is clearly a nicely execute car that deserves to celebrate its fifteen minutes of online fame, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
Before asking you how you feel about this tuned Mercedes-AMG G 63 that comes from the other side of the world, we will remind you that this model hits 60 mph (97 kph) in as little as 4.2 seconds with no outside intervention, as it is very punchy straight from the factory. The stock G 63 has 577 brake horsepower to play with and a sonorous 4.0-liter bi-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood.
