The Mercedes-Benz S-Class W126 is up for sale courtesy of Motorgroup Auto Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. The W126 series only upped the game of its predecessors and previewed what was to come in the S-Class luxury range. It portrayed, just like the automobile of today, comfort, innovation, safety and excellence.

As elegant as it was, the model was quite robust and has a reputation of being extremely reliable. This is how fans can explain the long mileage that the representatives of this generation have gathered along the years. Not this particular unit though. According to the listing on eBay, the odometer of the car only shows 2,918 miles, the equivalent of 4,696 kilometers. Most drivers would tick those in less than a year.

This model only had a single owner since the moment it left the showroom. The exclusivity that it comes with, the very low mileage and the fact that it looks as new justify the price. The seller asks US $39.995.

The saloon that is now up for sale features a Smoke Silver Metallic and the paintwork is pristine. So is the beige leather that wraps the seats. There is no sign of deterioration on the black dashboard either.

It’s one and only owner, a man in Belgium, properly stored and serviced it through the years. He is now offering all original documents and keys. A tool kit and the original spare wheel are included in the price.

The 1985 Mercedes-Benz W126 comes in a 380SEL variant. It features a 3.8-liter engine, that delivers its resources to the rear axle via an automatic transmission.
