Mercedes-Benz has confirmed pricing and all-electric range estimates for the updated GLC-Class plug-in hybrid. The GLC 350e 4Matic SUV boasts a remarkable EPA-rated 54 miles of range. According to Axios, the average American commutes 42 miles a day, which means the GLC 350e could be daily-driven on electric power alone – significantly reducing fuel bills.
The electrified luxury crossover is powered by a 2.0-liter engine paired with a 134-horsepower electric motor. Combined outputs are rated at 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, resulting in strong performance and efficiency. 0-60 mph is dispatched in an estimated 6.2 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 130 mph. In all-electric mode, the GLC 350e tops out at 87 mph.
Efficient, Fast, And Frugal
A 24.8 kWh battery provides the electric motor with the energy it needs, and when plugged into a 60 kW DC charger, the battery can be fully charged in as little as 30 minutes. Gas-only fuel economy figures are rated at 23/28/25 mpg on the city/highway/combined cycles. With the electric motor included, that increases to 60/70/64 MPGe on the same cycles.
Three trims will be offered: Standard, Exclusive trim, and Pinnacle trim. The entry-level model is well-equipped and receives wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, navigation, MBUX, a center airbag, self-leveling suspension, Parktronic w/Active Parking Assist, a digital vehicle key, keyless-go, and keyless start.
More Luxury As In Higher Trims
Upgrading to the Exclusive trim adds a surround-view camera, enhanced ambient lighting, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, and a parking package. Lastly, the Pinnacle trim gets a head-up display, heat and noise-insulating glass, and Digital Light with Projections. It doesn’t end there, with customers offered plenty of personalization options.
There are 11 paint colors to choose from, including four Manufaktur finishes. Buyers have six wheel designs to select from, two of which are exclusive to the GLC 350e. An AMG Line package and Night Package can also be specified at extra cost. The GLC 350e is the latest PHEV to join the MBUSA lineup, which also includes the GLE 450e 4Matic SUV and the S580 4Matic sedan. For those who prefer an all-electric approach, Mercedes also offers the EQB SUV and EQE SUV; an all-electric GLC is due to follow in 2026.
