Mercedes-AMG E 63 Sedan With Modified Head & Taillights

While Mercedes is still deciding what to do about a new AMG E 63, the rendering world has given birth to plenty of such models. Some of them opted for a six-banger recipe, others had the same electrified four-pot as the smaller C 63, and some went full-blown V8 on the automotive kingdom.

The latest to have crossed our screens came from @kelsonik on Instagram and proposes a brand-new Mercedes-AMG E 63 Sedan that was clearly based on the lesser E 53. But brining back the iconic moniker is not the only big thing about this CGI-infused project, as it also has a revised styling.

The front fascia, for one, is home to a new set of headlights that also feature revised graphics and no longer have the curve at the bottom end. The grille looks the same to us, and it seems that the front bumper was tweaked. Out back, it has new taillights with a slimmer design and a different pattern, as well as a fresh diffuser, and the typical squared-off tailpipes. The wheels are also bigger than before, and the rendered car looks like an Edition 1 to us, something that the company would sell in the first year of production.

Some say this imagined range-topping version of the E-Class family looks better without the star-studded makeover, but we are not so sure about that, as we still think the stars in the car’s headlights and taillights fit it perfectly, and we are surprised that the company took this long to come up with this styling feature.

But what about the firepower, you ask? Something like this deserves nothing less than a V8, namely the 4.0-liter bi-turbocharged unit that powers a plethora of new-age AMGs, and not only. This engine has immense tuning capabilities, and with a little bit of electric trickery, it could easily exceed the 800 horsepower mark, thus leaving a trail of dust for the BMW M5. The latter also features an electrified V8, enjoying 717 horsepower combined for 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds (slower than its predecessor).

However, with Europe’s stricter emissions regulations, a V8 might be a very long stretch for a hypothetical new Mercedes-AMG E 63, so such a model could pack a downsized unit, namely a six-banger. Either that, or maybe a 2.0-liter four-pot with electric trickery. You know, just like the C 63, which has 670 hp combined, hits 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.4 seconds, and kicks off at $88,000 in the U.S. of A. for the 2026 model year.

Regardless of your answer, we believe that a new Mercedes-AMG E 63 deserves to feature a V8 engine under the hood, and the same applies to the CLE 63 lineup. But would you love these if they eschewed the V8 recipe?
