Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is now available for customers in Europe. How much do they need to pay to take 843 horsepower home?
That is how much the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance makes, together with a system torque of 1,470 Nm. It is the company’s first high-performance hybrid and the most powerful series-production model of the Affalterbach-based company. Only the Mercedes-AMG ONE will slot above it.
What makes it top the AMG performance range? It comes with the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine and a permanently excited synchronous electric motor. They benefit from the presence of the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and of an AMG-developed high-performance battery. This Formula 1-inspired hybrid strategy makes the 4-door coupe flash from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 316 km/h (196 mph).
Those who want to get this car in their driveway and then back to where it belongs, on the racetrack, will have to transfer 196,897.40 euros in the Mercedes-AMG account.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance also available with an Edition version
There will also be a new Edition model in AMG green hell magno paintwork, a hint to the development of this car in the Green Hell of Nurburgring. This comes for extra 21,777 euros.
That much money bring 21-inch AMG forged wheels in a five-twin-spoke design, the AMG Night Package and the AMG Night Package II with contrasting detailing in high-gloss black and dark chrome. There are also the AMG Aerodynamics Package and the AMG Exterior Carbon Package. Meanwhile, customers can also tick the box for the panoramic roof if they are willing to pay more.
A Special Edition, different from Edition, comes with a dark gemstone shade rubellite red paintwork. This one also gets the Exterior Package in high-gloss chrome as well as silver-painted 21-inch AMG forged wheels with a five-twin-spoke design.
For further customization, the future owner of the GT 63 S E Performance can ask the MANUFAKTUR experts to use their magic wand on the car. That will bring tan exclusive paintwork and special interior trims. The list includes the two-tone leather steering wheel and decal sets in threee-color variants for the side skirts.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance will hit the showrooms in April 2022.
