A look back at one of our all-time favorite cars to come through Elevation Motors. The Mercedes-Benz SLS is a timeless classic, and this example stood out thanks to a Weistec supercharger and a full MEC Design carbon fiber kit.
Insane Weistec Supercharged Mercedes SLS AMG

You might not expect to find many Weistec supercharged-and-tuned 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupes in Lakewood, Colorado. For a brief moment, though, you could do just that at Elevation Motors. The Colorado dealer got its hands on a properly sinister Obsidian Black Metallic Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. And even with an understated color palette and impressive factory power figures, this one takes things to the next level.
As a 2011 model, it was part of the first SLS AMG model year for the US market. It’s also the more desirable coupe variant instead of the roadster spec. That means, you guessed it, gull-wing doors. Under the hood, the black Mercedes SLS AMG got a full Weistec 825 supercharger kit, a tune, a performance intake, and an upgraded exhaust system with long-tube headers. Weistec says the supercharger kit will bump the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG’s 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque up to 825 and 661, respectively.
The black-on-black Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG also rides on a stiffer KW suspension system. Stopping power is courtesy of bitey, albeit stratospherically spendy, carbon-ceramic brakes with bright orange calipers. Add a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tires, and this 15-year-old Mercedes is quite the animal.
SLS AMG Grabs Attention, Even in All Black
Even with the understated Obsidian Black Metallic and black leather interior, this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG absorbs attention. On approach, it becomes clear that not every surface is painted black, but rather polished MEC carbon fiber treatments. And if that wasn’t enough carbon, this SLS AMG features a full carbon fiber interior, from steering wheel to console and beyond.
As for the stance, the performance coupe sits on an adjustable suspension system with a hydraulic lift function. At the touch of a button, it’ll raise and lower over its black Vossen wheels.
