More and more tuners have started taking on the latest Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. After seeing that predator-like black example, with a few red touches, earlier this month, which came from Roadshow Internation, it’s now time to move the spotlight to Larte Design’s stable.
The latter company took to social media a few days ago to release the images shared above in the gallery, as well as a few details about this build. Moreover, the tuner wants you to rate this project on a scale from 1 to 10, and you can do that in the comments area below. However, before proceeding to it, let’s delve into some of the novelties.
The aftermarket updates are pretty much in-your-face. Thus, you do not have to be a three-pointed star brand connoisseur to tell that this modified Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe comes with a bigger front splitter and a pair of fresh side skirts. It has a larger tailgate spoiler, a roof-mounted wing, and a sportier diffuser with extra brake lights in the middle.
In order to tell this build apart from the standard variant, Larte Design gave it multiple red accents. These are visible on the horizontal slats in the front bumper side vents, on the chin spoiler, side skirts, and rear diffuser. They can also be seen on the aftermarket wheels with their intricate pattern. Other components have a glossy black look to them. The rear emblems are presented in blac and the entire body sports a gray paint finish.
Usually, such a build would be accompanied by a reupholstered interior. It would benefit from new leather and suede in various hues, stitched together with contrasting string. It would also get custom embossing in the headrests, new floor mats, a re-done headliner, and fresh trim, in addition to other bits and bobs. Nonetheless, it appears that the tuner has drawn the line at the exterior body kit. Thus, chances are this Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe retains its stock cabin.
The same likely applies to the engine, too, which is a bi-turbo 4.0L V8 unit that develops 603 horsepower (612 ps/450 kW) without any outside intervention and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque. The standard GLE 63 S Coupe needs just 3.7 seconds from 0-60 mph (0 to 97 kph), and that’s on par with older supercars, although not that old, if you know what we’re saying. The stock model is just slightly behind exotic crossovers such as the Ferrari Purosangue and Lamborghini Urus.
What would you grade it if you had to rate Larte Design’s latest take on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe? We’d say a solid 7, and not because it’s not a nicely executed build, but due to the fact that the GLE Coupe is far from being a beauty – just like one of its biggest rivals, the BMW X6.
