If you think the current GLE Coupe needs a replacement soon, you are correct, and Mercedes won’t contradict you on that. However, instead of the brand’s flagship crossover coupe receiving a new generation, the three-pointed star brand is preparing a second mid-cycle refresh.
We have seen the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe testing for a few months now, and more recently, it has adopted its new star-studded headlights in prototype form. Since this is a big deal, the rendering crowd has started peeling off the fake skin to reveal the obvious modifications.
The peeps at Kolesa took a closer look at the latest scooped tester and gave it a production makeover. As a result, we can see its new star-studded headlights better. They have two stars in each unit, unlike the upcoming (smaller) C-Class, which has one, as we’ve recently seen in a set of scoops released online by the same outlet.
More differences compared to the outgoing GLE Coupe include the reshaped grille, which also has a new pattern, and the new front bumper, which has more aggressive side intakes and a shorter central one. The taillights haven’t escaped the starry feature, and although the graphics are new, the shape is similar (we doubt it’s identical). The rear bumper is also new, and the pixel manipulator revised the tailpipe trim as well.
The rendering BMW X6 and Audi Q8 competitor retains its original wheels, which actually soldier on from the current GLE Coupe. Elsewhere, it has a white paint finish, several black accents, some chrome trim for contrast, and rear privacy windows. The CGIs depict it in the diesel flavor, which will obviously be kept away from our market, where the company currently offers it in three versions.
The lineup starts with the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4Matic Coupe, which uses a mild-hybrid inline-six motor with a 3.0L displacement that churns out 375 hp (380 ps/280 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm). This model begins at $76,400 and takes 5.3s to reach 60 mph (97 kph) from zero. The AMG GLE 53 Coupe follows it, boasting 429 hp (435 ps/320 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) from its partially electrified six-banger. It is four-tenths quicker than the Benz and has an MSRP of $92,150.
Sitting at the top of the family is the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe, which does 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, aided by its partially electrified V8. The 4.0L bi-turbo motor develops 603 hp (612 ps/450 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm), and for this model, the company is asking for at least $132,150.
The facelifted GLE is expected in 2025 in both Benz and AMG flavors, and it will, for the most part, look pretty much like the one rendered by the quoted outlet. So, do you dig the makeover?
