Mansory’s customization program and parts for the facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe (C167) are now available, and the high-end customizer of some of the world’s priciest machinery has shown off just one possibility of what customers can concoct through their bespoke builds.
 
The new owner of this particular GLE 63 Coupe opted for a widebody treatment with a special exposed carbon fiber treatment, a completely individual interior with custom carbon fiber trims and a family crest embroidered on the headrests, as well as a set of lightweight 24-inch wheels propelled by an upgraded engine.
 

Controversial Customizations Create Off The Charts Exclusivity
Mansory-customized versions of some of the world’s hottest dream cars (and trucks) rarely arrive without controversy, and this one is no exception. The particular unit shown on Mansory’s Instagram feed demonstrates just one of the countless possibilities for customer customization of their GLE 63, which may not be to everyone’s tastes. That’s just fine: you’re the boss of your Mansory build, and when spending six or seven figures to commission a bespoke automobile, everything is customized.
 
In this case, few surfaces inside or out were left untouched, with custom wheel arches and a wide-body kit on the outside using a two-tone paint job and specially patterned trim to dial up the flair. Mansory front and rear aprons were installed in carbon fiber, and over 15 other individual body parts are Mansory custom pieces, all made of proprietary carbon fiber built to OEM standards and available with matte finish on request.
 

Just As Much Bite As There Is Bark At Mansory
Of course, it’s not just looks that Mansory customers are after. The tuner’s catalog for the GLE 63 also offers up four performance software upgrade levels, topping out with up to 900 horsepower and unlocking sharper throttle response and an unrestricted top speed when fitted with appropriate supporting hardware including an exhaust system, downpipes, intercooler upgrade, and high-performance fuel pumps.
 
If you’re after something a little more modest, Mercedes will sell you an AMG GLE 53 Coupe with a hybrid-boosted straight-six turbo engine for $92,150 with 429 horsepower, or the GLE 63 S Coupe (the basis for this Mansory upgrade) with handcrafted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and 603 ponies from $132,500. Sadly in the eyes of many, Mansory doesn’t only fiddle with luxury cars. Its most controversial creations and the ones that have raised the most eyebrows have far more exotic bases than this, though. Even the supremely excellent Ferrari Purosangue is not safe from this tuner, but those of us who don’t like these builds must remember that where there’s continuous supply (Mansory has been around since 1989), there must be demand somewhere else.
