While Mercedes is prepping a few updates for the current seventh-generation S-Class in all three flavors available, namely Benz, AMG, and Maybach, one rendering artist decided to give it a shot at imagining the luxury sedan’s future generation.

The name is @tedoradze.giorgi on Instagram, the same pixel manipulator that recently gave us a pair of digital illustrations of a hypothetical next-gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class that we think looks great, and in this case, the design does not have much to do with the business model, as the entire front fascia of this rendered S-Class is different.
In fact, we could call it an evolutionary styling that harks back to some past models. We can see that the imagined 2029 (as the artist calls it) Mercedes-Benz S-Class features an imposing grille with a closed-off design and lots of chrome touches, as well as the three-pointed star brand’s logo on the hood. The slim LED headlights do not feature the star-studded makeover, and the bumper is somewhat aggressive.
It is great to see that there are no flush-mounted door handles, as the imagined next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class looks far better with traditional ones, and this is where our excitement ends. Why is that? Because the rear pillars are too thick and do not necessarily look good, and the back-end design is far too generic and does not do justice to the S-Class moniker. The car rides on new wheels, features a green paint finish, and is decorated with lots of chrome elements.

Do you know what would have made these renderings better? If they also comprised an unofficial look inside, revealing what the quoted rendering master thinks the screens, dashboard panel, steering wheel, seats, door cards, center console, and so on might look like. However, this is where he drew the line, and even though we wished he had spent more time on this imagined next-gen Mercedes-Benz S-Class, it is what it is.
But what do we know about the future Mercedes S-Class? Nothing officially. We have no idea when it will come out, what technology and safety features it will use, what the powertrain family will comprise, or what it will look like. We could speculate on a number of things, yet rather than doing that, we’d better remind you that the current one is in the 2026 model year in our market, and the Benz lineup comprises the S 500 4Matic, S 580e 4Matic, and S 580 4Matic models.
There is also an electrified AMG S 63 E Performance that boasts a whopping 791 horsepower combined, taking a mere 3.0 seconds to reach 60 mph (97 kph), and the two Maybachs, the S 580 4Matic and S 680 4Matic, with the latter boasting a V12, completing the offering.
