If you have a soft spot for luxury sedans, and you likely do, as you came here looking to find out how much this Mercedes-Maybach S-Class costs, how many miles it has under its belt, and other juicy details about it, you should definitely keep reading after checking out the image gallery below.

With that action checked, it is time to reveal the obvious, which is the bi-tone paint finish of this car. Some say this model would look better with silver instead of white, yet the latter hue is the one that decorates the lower parts of the body. The upper sections, including the roof, pillars, and other components, are black, and there are a few more accents in this color here and there, including on those large wheels.

As you have seen in the photos mentioned above, this German luxury sedan that calls the United States of America home has a black interior with the finest materials available. Leather is clearly on deck, as standard, and it has a diamond pattern on the seats. Elsewhere, we can see that sometimes flashy Mercedes ambient lighting signature, as well as the large central screen, the tablet-like digital gauge cluster, some glossy and metallic trim, and a few other bits and bobs.

You already know the configuration of this car, don’t you? Yep, it is a Mercedes-Maybach S 580, as mentioned in the title, meaning that it’s not a V12 engine that rests under the hood, as that one powers the superior S 680. Instead, it uses a mild-hybrid V8 with a 4.0-liter displacement and bi-turbos. The output is 496 hp (503 ps/370 kW) at 5,500 rpm, and it develops 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm. Naught to sixty mph (0 to 97 kph) takes 4.7 seconds in this model.

As for the punchier Mercedes-Maybach S 680, it boasts a handcrafted V12 with bi-turbos and a 6.0-liter displacement. The three-pointed star brand’s official spec sheet reveals that this model is two-tenths of a second faster from 0-60 mph. The acceleration is a 4.5-second affair, and the car has 621 hp (630 ps/463 kW) at 5,250-5,500 rpm and 664 pound-foot (900 Nm) of torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm.

The selling dealer behind the ad says that the mileage is in the region of 14,000 (~22,500 km) for this 2022 model year Maybach S 580, and the asking price is $139,980. That’s about as much as a new 2026 Mercedes-Benz S 580e, which has an MSRP of $130,400 in our market. The S 500 4Matic starts at $119,500, the S 580 4Matic at $130,700, and the AMG S 63 E Performance at $189,800. We don’t know about you, but if we were shopping for a new Benz S-Class, we’d consider getting this Maybach instead. Would you?
