Mercedes-AMG G 63 MANSORY Gronos Pickup EVO S Final Edition

Mansory is known for its wacky builds worldwide, and its latest might just be one of the wackiest. Christened the Mansory Gronos Pickup Evo S, it is a pickup version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 that was showcased at Top Marques Monaco last week.
 
Said to be the final installment of the series and a bespoke vehicle conversion, this ride immediately stands out due to its heavily modified body. As its name clearly says, it is a workhorse with chopped-off body panels, a small bed behind the passenger compartment, and seating for only two people inside.
 

According to Mansory, the hood and body panels were crafted of carbon fiber. The two-door version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 with an open bed also features a body kit with revamped front and rear bumpers, wheel arch extensions, side skirts, grille, hood, and diffuser. It also has extra DRLs up front, another pair of taillights at the rear, and a custom spare wheel holder.
 
The roof is home to a pair of attachments at both ends, with the front ones adding extra lights to the party. The side mirror caps also came from the quoted tuner’s portfolio, and the lights on the front fenders were smoked. Most of the fresh stuff has a forged carbon look for extra flashiness, and the whole body sports an urban camo pattern. The wheels also came from the aftermarket world and pretty much round off the makeover on the outside.
 

While the exterior of this modified Mercedes-AMG G 63 may be somewhat military due to the special wrap (or is it a paint job?), the cockpit is quite lively. It features a mix of yellow and black with a contrasting look for the left and right seats, new upholstery on the door cards, dashboard, headliner, pillars, and so on, and quite a few Mansory emblems. The center console reveals the car’s new given name, there is extra carbon fiber trim, a new overhead console, and a starlight headliner, to name some mods.
 
Mansory claims 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) is a 3.3-second affair thanks to the extra oomph. The Gronos Pickup Evo S is said to have 986 bhp (1,000 ps/736 kW) to play with and 922 lb-ft (1,250 Nm) of torque, enabling a top speed of 174 mph (280 kph). The standard Mercedes-AMG G 63 comes with 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque and 577 bhp (585 ps/430 kW) from its 4.0L bi-turbo V8. It does 0-62 mph in four and a half seconds, though it’s been recorded at just under the 4-second mark in some tests without any mods.
