Mansory G-Wide Body Kit on this solid G63 AMG Mercedes. This build features Mansory carbon fiber aero to complete the luxury tanks dominating presence. We selected al13wheels C00R DUO BLOCK wheels in gloss black.

You know things are about to involve Mansory’s name when reading the words “controversial” and “tuner” next to each other in a sentence, don’t you? After all, this company has signed some kitschy projects over the years, but this Mercedes-AMG G 63 is quite the opposite of Mansory’s usual builds.

Sure, you may argue that you have seen some of these add-ons on past projects from this tuner. You could also say that the new hood looks like something Brabus signed and that this model would look better in black. And we wouldn’t contradict you.

However, this Mercedes-AMG G 63 manages to rock the aftermarket bits and pieces with pride. It is a widebody proposal with multiple attachments to the front bumper, a double-nostril hood, a roof attachment above the front windscreen, additional lights on the roof and in the bumper, and fat fenders. The design continues out back with a rear skirt, bumper attachments, a roof-mounted element, and a Mansory-branded spare wheel holder.

Mansory’s logo proudly decorates the latter piece and the tweaked grille, and we can see some special decals on the front fenders. The add-ons seem to have been crafted from carbon fiber, and they do not feature a forged carbon look, fortunately, which would have turned this car into a controversial project. The 4×4 has a white paint finish, multiple black elements, and privacy windows, and it is one dream ride.

Wait a minute, did we just miss the wheels? That would be a no, as we decided to dedicate a paragraph to them as it was wheelsboutique on Instagram that shared images of this build rather than Mansory. The vehicle rides on large disc-like alloys that feature a black look, and while these wouldn’t be our first choice for the Mercedes-AMG G 63, at least they fit the boosted design.

The tuner usually leaves a deep mark on interiors, too, and chances are this rugged high-rider features a reupholstered cockpit, perhaps with several Mansory-branded elements, revised trim, and so on. However, that’s our assumption, as the social media post that we embedded at the bottom of this story does not reveal its cabin.

Moreover, there’s no reference to the oily bits, which probably means that the ubiquitous bi-turbo motor hasn’t been massaged to deliver extra oomph. The 4.0L V8 develops 577 hp (585 ps/430 kW) and steams out 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque straight from the factory. The standard Mercedes-AMG G 63 needs a very respectable four and a half seconds to zip to sixty miles per hour (97 kph).

Now, it’s clear that we dig the looks of this tuned copy, for the most part, anyway, and the question is if you feel the same. Thus, head to the comments area below and let us know what you think about it.
