Mansory, the controversial luxury car modification firm located in Brand, Germany, has done it again – they are reinterpreting the latest off-road luxury SUV, aka the Mercedes-AMG G 63 4×4 Squared, into something otherworldly.
 
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class, for its antique age, is doing just fine – the G 63 Grand Edition was revealed this summer alongside the G 500 Final Edition, automotive people are only talking about the baby G-Class that quickly turned from a whisper across the rumor mill into a fully-fledged confirmed vehicle by way of Mercedes’ CEO Ola Kallenius.
 

Plus, every aftermarket outlet worldwide, be it Germany’s Hofele-Design or America’s RDB LA, is busy churning out as many personalized and customized G 63s as they can. Naturally, the outrageous folks over at Mansory couldn’t step aside and let such things slide. As such, they quickly came up with a solution.
 
Remember their Gronos product line? Well, just recently, they expanded the growing family with a limited, handcrafted edition of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Squared called, of course, Mansory Gronos 4×4². The new version comes with all the usual suspects – which may or may not cause G-Class fans to run amok screaming in terror, depending on their POV towards Mansory creations.
 

As such, the Gronos 4×4² features a power jump from 577 to 850 horsepower and some mountain-moving 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. It rolls on new aftermarket wheels – Mansory’s FD.15 styling has 22 inches and is shod “with special off-road tires in the dimension 325/55R22.” Inside, there’s a full leather cockpit with a start/stop switch on the roof, plus a “rear single seat system with an individualized rear center console.”
 
On the outside, all the Gronos shenanigans are present and accounted for, including the wild aerodynamic kit and all the other not-so-subtle changes devised to ensure this G 63 stands out in any crowd rather than on forbidden secluded 4×4 trails. Obviously, bits of carbon fiber are also in attendance – and of course, we can’t say for sure how much this beast costs because everything is mostly unique in each example, so the prices vary wildly.
 
On the other hand, at least the exterior combination of dark gray with exposed carbon fiber pieces is pretty restrained – as much as anyone can say something like that about any of Mansory’s wild creations. The cockpit, meanwhile, isn’t exactly your sea of tranquility as the white elements are contrasted by a deep, rich blue and some additional carbon fiber bits and pieces. However, as always, any Mansory is a sight to behold, and beauty is always in the eye of the beholder – so we will not judge anyone if they like or dislike the new Mansory Gronos 4×4².
