Here are the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 and E 63 4MATIC+ models in all of their variants. The Saloon, the Estate, the Coupe and the Cabriolet now receive their most dynamic versions and up to 612 horsepower.

The Mercedes-AMG E family reaches a whole new level with the updated variants. The company’s 4.0-liter biturbo V8 comes in two output variants, with 571 and 612 horsepower for the E 63-s. A redesigned front end with two transverse louvers provides the necessary air flow. Designers and aerodynamic experts joined hands for an optimized aerobalance of the body variants, regardless if the drivers chooses country roads, motorways or race tracks. A fitting flap in high-gloss black, extending across the entire front apron, complements the aggressive look.

The muscular flare of the wheel arches is now 27 millimeters wider on each side. It makes the Mercedes-AMG E variants imposing and robust. But the measure also feature a practical role. It makes room for larger wheels on the front axle.

The AMG radiator grille flanked by flat headlamps enhance the concept of robustness.

The Mercedes-AMG E 63 and E 63 4MATIC+ variants also get a new rear end design. There are new flatter taillights there, extending into the boot lid and visually linked with a trim strip in high-gloss chrome. The trim strip extends even further, up to the end of the outer rear lamps on the Estate. A reshaped rear apron and the new diffuser highlight the width effect and improves aerodynamics.

The AMG E-s standardly run on 19-inch light-alloy wheels. 20-inch wheels are optional. The E 63 S though gets the 20-inch 5-twin spoke alloys as standard equipment.

The interior of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 and 63 4MATIC+ models is just as dynamic
The interior of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 and 63 4MATIC+ models continues the dynamic concept of the exterior. There are AMG seats that provide the necessary side support and comfort on long drives.

Customers can also tick the box for the AMG Performance seats with integrated head restraints.

The E 53 gets ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfiber in black and red contrasting topstitching. Various other seat upholstery options are available. Meanwhile, the E 63 S owners benefit from the presence of the nappa leather trim on the dashboard and beltlines. The seat belts are in crystal grey.

Drivers find onboard the MBUX infotainment system with a touchscreen and touchpad, plus intelligent voice control. Base models come with the 10.25-inch displays, while the S variants get the 12.25 screens as standard. Modern Classic, Sport and Supersport are the available AMG display styles.

The engine range of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 and E 63 4MATIC+ models
The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ comes with the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with 612 horsepower and a peak torque of 850 Nm. Its non-S sibling receives the same engine, but with 571 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.

The S variant Saloon accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the base model requires 3.5. It is a 3.5-second run for the Estate S model and a 3.6-second run for the base estate.

The Mercedes-AMG E 53 gets the 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line engine and an EQ Boost starter-alternator with hybrid functions. It provides the cars with extra 16 kW and 250 Nm.

The engines are connected to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 9-speed automatic transmission with an “M” manual mode. Drivers can select Sport, Sport+ and RACE. The latter program is standard for the S variant.

AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension with fully supporting multi-chamber air suspension and adaptive adjustable damping secures the cars with agility and highly dynamic lateral acceleration.

The models also get the 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. The E 63 S also comes with a Drift mode. The setting makes the variant a purely rear-wheel drive car.

Up to six drive programs are available via the DYNAMIC SELECT. They are Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and RACE.

A high-performance composite brake system and a rear-locking differential enhance the dynamic nature of the cars.
