Mercedes E-Class Limo 6-Door Is All Kinds Of Crazy

Are you a diehard Mercedes E-Class fan? Do you need to accommodate more than five people? If both those answers are yes, look no further as spy photographers have snapped a six-door prototype that dwarfs the S-Class.
 

Seemingly created for a world where the GLS doesn’t exist, this stretch limo is believed to be the work of Binz. The company specializes in converting Mercedes’ into ambulances, command vehicles, and models for government use. The firm also has a long history of building funeral cars as well as limousines like the one you see here.
 

However, it’s been awhile since we’ve last seen a six-door E-Class. The latest appears to have been introduced in 2010 and was stretched 3.7 feet (1.13 meters) so that it measured 19.6 feet (5.98 meters) long. It featured three-rows of seats including a pair of second-row captain’s chairs that were separated by a center console. That being said, customization options were virtually endless and even included armoring.
 

Fast forward to today and the company has stretched the latest E-Class and grafted on a new set of doors. The latter feature old school handles, but they’ll likely be replaced by flush-mounted units on the road-going model.
 
Despite its massive size, the E200 badging on the trunk suggests the prototype has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing a mere 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) of torque. This enables the regular sedan to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).
