Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Made In India For The Bollywood Elite

India has one of the world’s largest populations, and a ton of rich people eager to spend their hard-earned rupees on some good old fashioned western luxuries. India has such an infatuation with cars that its residents often try to imitate, instead of purchase, but the ‘Made-in-India’ Maybach S-Class is as real as they come, and is proudly built in India for the country’s wealthy elite.
 

The Mercedes-Maybach S is one of the most luxurious cars ever built, and when Kim Kardashian owns a fleet of these land yachts then you know you’re dealing with the good stuff. The Made In India Mercedes Maybach S-Class is offered in S680 4Matic and S580 4Matic guises.
 
The Made In India Maybach S-Class gets cool exterior features such as a chrome fin on the hood, and Maybach’s classic radiator grille with three-dimensional trim strips. The Maybach S-Class rides on a set of 19-inch wheels and is offered with two-tone paint options. The interior is more luxurious than most five star hotels, and features seats with neck and shoulder heating, massaging calf-rests, and adaptive interior ambient lighting. The new NTG7 MBUX infotainment system features five different displays and advanced voice control through the Hey Mercedes! System. In terms of driver assistance tech, the 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class features autonomous level two driving with evasive steering assist and active brake assist with cross-traffic function.
 
Indian customers are offered two engine options. The first is the 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 S 580 4Matic that produces 496 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. This car can complete the 0-60 mph sprint in 4.7 seconds and will top out at a limited 155 mph. The S680 4Matic gets the big 6.0-liter V12 engine that kicks out 621 hp and 664 lb-ft. The V12 car can do 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Unfortunately the S680 has been sold out until 2023, so those who want to get their behinds in some thick luxury will have to settle for the V8 model. The locally-built S580 costs Rs 2.50 crores ( $327,000), and the S680 is priced at Rs 3.20 crores ($420,000).
