The New Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance will start at 121,856 euros, 24,000 euros more expensive than the previous generation.

Mercedes continues its policy of exaggerated price increases. Thus, the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance costs 121,856 euros, while the former generation was priced at 97,500 euros.

Part of the 24,000 euro price increase, which represent 25% of the price of the previous generation, is justified by the more powerful propulsion system and the use of a PHEV system with a 6.1 kWh battery, which allow electric range of 12 km (7.5 miles).

The new AMG GLC is powered by a P3 Plug-In Hybrid system, which deliver 680 ps (670 hp) and 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft) compared to 510 ps (503 hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) in the old model.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance features 4Matic+ variable all-wheel drive, AMG Ride Control adaptive suspension, integral steering, and active anti-roll bars as standard equipment.

The GLC top model can be configured with the AMG Exterior Carbon Package I (3,510.50 euro), AMG Aerodynamics Package (2,082.50 euro), AMG Exterior Night Package (€892.50) and AMG Night Package II (654.50 euro). You can also order AMG Performance seats (2,558.50 euro) or AMG Performance High-End seats (5,521.60 euro).

As with other Mercedes models, the Mercedes-AMG GLCF 63 S E Performance is available for one year in a special Edition 1 series. The package costs 18,445 euros and includes 21-inch AMG forged alloy wheels painted in matt black and an interior with AMG Performance seats upholstered in Nappa Black Exclusive leather with yellow decorative stitching and the AMG door sill panels with yellow illuminated “AMG” lettering.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance is more than 16,000 euros more expensive than the BMW X3 M (510 ps/503 hp), which costs 105,300 euros. But the dynamic performance is close. The BMW X3 M accelerates from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds, while the AMG GLC 63 S E Performace is faster by just 0.3 seconds.
