While a larger and older BMW M5 F10 recently sold for pennies on the dollar, this guy refused $48,027 for his Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Sedan.
The premium compact sports model was listed on Cars&Bids, and when the hammer hit the table on February 7, 2025, the highest bidder failed to meet the reserve despite being willing to pay a lot of money for this six-year-old machine.
But how much does something like this usually retail for? The lowest sale was recorded as just under $30,000, whereas the highest was $59,500. On average, the W205 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S sells for just under $48,000. So, why did this guy refuse a $48K offer? Because his ride has only 10,400 miles (~16,700 km) on the clock and only some creases on the front seat bolsters as the only known flaw.
The car has a clean Ontario (Canada) title, a Stage 1 ECU upgrade, H&R lowering springs, wheel spacers, 19-inch AMG alloys, an all-black look, ceramic tint on all windows, black exterior emblems, tinted headlights and taillamps, and paint protection film on the front fascia. The Carfax title shows a few service entries and no accidents in this vehicle’s past, which is said to have been stored during winter.
A Canadian-spec machine, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S in question has a 10.25-inch center display, voice control, Driver Assistance Package, Parking Assistance Package, AMG Night Package, an electronically-controlled limited-slip rear differential, AMG Performance exhaust system, AMG Ride Control, a panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated and heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a Burmester sound system, smartphone connectivity, and keyless go.
Power comes from a 4.0L V8 with dual turbos, which was initially rated at 520 pound-foot (700 Nm) of torque and 500 horsepower (510 ps/380 kW), rocketing the sports sedan to 62 mph (100 kph) in a hair over four seconds. The pictured machine has a bit more oomph due to the reported modifications, though the exact output and torque are unknown as the seller hasn’t provided a dyno sheet. The thrust goes to the rear axle through a 9sp automatic transmission.
But why is he looking to sell? Because “I have a property that I want to do renovations on, and so it is a financial decision.” For what it’s worth, the car is very cool and does not seem to have any issues. On top of that, it is also a low-mileage example. The owner bought it in April 2021, adding around 7,500 miles (~12,000 km) since, and we don’t know how much they hope to get from selling the C 63, though it’s likely over $50,000. How much would you pay for such a Mercedes-AMG if you were shopping for one?
