If you want the latest Mercedes-AMG C63 in your driveway, you might be more alone than you think. But that could be good news for anyone who doesn’t mind that the car makes its 671 horsepower from an electric motor and a four-cylinder engine instead of the old model’s V8.
That’s because plummeting sales mean Mercedes-Benz is eager to move product, and that comes with a discount. At least one dealer is advertising $10,000 off for anyone who leases one of the high-performance Benz sedans.
Big Lease Bargains For Beefy Baby Benzes
Doug Horner, better known for his TikTok channel Benzsandbowties, is the general sales manager at Mercedes-Benz of North Olmstead, just west of Cleveland, Ohio. His channel talks about life at a car dealer, including making deals, breaking deals, and other car-buying advice.
This latest video starts with a bold claim: “C63s just got way more compelling,” Horner said. The reason is a new $7,500 lease incentive on the C 63, which stacks with a $2,500 incentive the company was already offering.
Tossing $10,000 into the pot makes a massive difference, especially if you’re looking at a 36-month lease. As Horner says, every $1,000 is about $30 a month in lowered payments. That makes a C63 S around $300 a month cheaper than before.
A quick trip to the Mercedes-Benz website confirms the deals. The German automaker is offering the 2025 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance for $999/month for 36 months with $7,793 down. That’s less money than BMW is currently offering to lease the significantly less expensive M3 with a similar amount due at signing.
Why Mercedes Is Trying New Sales Tactics
What’s the problem with the new C63 S? It might be a matter of cylinders. The C63 has long been known for its beefy V8. The most recent of which was a hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine that made up to 503 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque.
The newest C63 S swapped that engine for the impressive M139L four-cylinder. A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 469 horsepower and 402 lb-ft all by itself, making it the most powerful production four in any car. The engine got help from an electric motor in the rear that can add up to 201 hp and 236 lb-ft for a total of 671 hp and 752 lb-ft.
Yes, it added around 800 pounds, but it’s still quicker than before. It also has 150 horses more than a BMW M3 Competition and can drive for three miles purely on electric power. We called it “an exciting but complicated performance sedan that stands out for its advanced engineering” after our first drive review of the C63, but said that “it might be too nerdy for its own good.” That’s the result of swapping brute force for clever power, but if you want the tech and power there are some good deals to be found.
