Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is not exactly making headlines anymore, as it was officially unveiled more than one and a half years ago. However, it was only recently granted access to Australia, where order books officially open today (March 6, 2026).

As a result, one is likely curious how much this model costs in the Land Down Under. The answer comes directly from the automaker’s local branch, which reveals that the official MKRP is AU$463,900. This translates to US$326,170 at the current exchange rate. By comparison, this open-top luxury grand tourer kicks off at US$224,900 (equal to AU$319,805) in the United States for the 2026 model year.
One can easily make the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 even more expensive, as stuff such as the 21-inch multi-spoke forged wheels cost AU$12,900 (US$9,070), the Manufaktur Exclusive paint finish is a AU$24,300 (US$17,085) option, and the Mercedes-Maybach pattern on the hood costs AU$16,900 (US$11,880).

Mercedes reminds us that the Maybach SL 680 features a Maybach-specific grille, has an Obsidian Black painted hood, rides on distinctive 21-inch alloys, and the standard metallic paint finishes are the Opalite White Magno and the Garnet Red. Manufaktur will gladly take your hard-earned money and give you a plethora of customization options, so making this model significantly more expensive is only a matter of how many boxes one ticks on the options list.
Additional highlights include the Nappa leather upholstery, Manufaktur Dinamica microfiber headliner, bespoke trim, a Burmester 3D surround sound system with 1,220 watts of power and 17 speakers, wood and leather multi-function steering wheel, a new floral upholstery for the sports seats, Maybach lettering on the high-pile floor mats, backlit door sills, and silver chrome trim elements.
Is that not enough? In that case, you should know that the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 also comes with an 11.9-inch MBUX central display, has 5G connectivity, augmented reality navigation, wireless smartphone charging, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, and 64-color ambient lighting, A generous array of safety gizmos, including active lane keeping assist, active distance assist, active lane change assist, active steering assist, automatic re-start in traffic jams, a 360-degree camera system, and others are also included.

Despite using the “680” nameplate, which is normally reserved for V12-powered cars like the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, the SL 680 uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The mill was sourced from the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 and produces 577 hp (585 ps/430 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The SL 680 has a 161 mph (259 kph) top speed and hits 60 mph (97 kph) in roughly four seconds, which is approximately half a second slower compared to its AMG sibling that has a 2+2 seating layout.
The order book for the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 has already opened in Australia, and all prices mentioned above include GST and LCT (applicable), yet exclude on-road costs, including the stamp duty and registration fees.
