Mercedes is in the midst of a redesign. Stuttgart recently revealed a new image of the electric GLC’s grille and it shows a return to the stately front-end we’ve come to know Mercedes for cars – albeit glowing. It’ll form a key part of a new design language for the brand’s EVs – but what of the ICE cars?
Our spy photographers have snapped the facelifted C-Class Estate, and if these pictures are anything to go by, it’s not just the EVs that are getting a new look. Although covered in camouflage, these pictures show a larger, more ‘classic’ grille at the front, which does seem to look a bit more like the GLC grille shown earlier this year. Of course, it’s covered in camo and actually does some cooling – but it’s larger and more impactful than the current car’s front end.
The rear of the new car looks different too. While the estate car gets two separate rear lights, the wagon shown here appears to swap that out for a continuous light bar similar to what we’ve seen on the EQ cars – and most recently the CLA. The Mercedes stars survive in the headlights, but appear to be gone at the rear.
Anything else?
The interior of the new car should get an update too, with the latest version of MBUX as well as new assistance and comfort features. The quality should go up also.
We’ll update this article when we know more – which will likely be closer to its Spring 2026 reveal date.
