Dull may not be the word best used to describe any Mercedes S-Class, let alone an AMG like the mighty S 63 E Performance or a Maybach like the V12-powered S 680. However, it’s not particularly exciting as a Benz, not from a petrolhead’s perspective, anyway.
 
Sure, you could buy a V8-powered Mercedes-Benz S-Class to get you to and fro in comfort and quietness for many years to come, assuming nothing breaks down (ahem, Mercedes build quality!). But deep down, you may want to do something special to it. And there are literally countless components one could pick for their S-Class to give it a fresh vibe.
 

From the usual body kits and occasional fender flares to reupholstered interiors, uprated brakes, and more power, everything is usually a few mouse clicks (or screen taps) away. Still, finding that perfect mix between owning a cool German luxo-barge and a kitschy one is tricky to achieve. If you overdo it, you’d be left with a brash vehicle, and if you underdo it, you may wish you hadn’t stopped.
 
Less is usually more in the car tuning game (and not only). Nevertheless, the Mercedes-Benz S 580 pictured in the above gallery is not a discreet machine. It features some attachments on the outside, retains some of the chrome elements that fit the black body like a glove and rides on large bi-tone alloys that sport the three-pointed star brand on the center caps.
 
Nothing out of the ordinary yet, right? Sure, that quickly unravels upon peaking through the windows or opening that door. The reason is the new Tiffany Blue interior. The lively-colored leather upholstery was wrapped around the seats, center console, upper and lower parts of the dashboard, steering wheel, door cards, and other components. The headliner is black, and this car features additional black and chrome trim on the inside.
 

Roadshow International, which shared images of this build on its social media recently, reveals that this S 580 also features a 20-mm (0.8 in) lowering kit, nano-ceramic window tint, and a custom exhaust system, among others. It’s said to take just 3.7s to reach 62 mph (100 kph) from naught, aided by its 516 horsepower (523 ps/385 kW).
 
The S 580’s 4.0L V8 produces 496 hp (503 ps/370 kW) straight from the factory, enabling 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. Therefore, the extra 20 hp likely hasn’t shaved 0.7 seconds from the standard car’s sprint time, so that’s probably a typo on the tuner’s side. Roadshow International says this Mercedes-Benz S 580 is looking for a new home without revealing how much they are asking for it. The 2025 model begins at $128,600 in the USA, so this tuned one is likely more expensive.
