Mercedes-AMG SLR by emrEHusmen®, is a roadster concept design inspired by the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR that won the famous Mille Miglia race in 1955 by Stirling Moss. It features a V12 Hybrid drivetrain with a total of 1200hp, blending classic style with pure aerodynamic surfaces and streamline graphics. Designed and 3D modeled in Blender in 2-weeks.

Mercedes-Benz has a lot of novelties coming out this year – both in the real world and across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI, thanks to members of the imaginative guild of digital car content creators.
In the real world, they are kicking off the proceedings with the major mid-cycle refresh of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class on January 29. They also announced that work is well underway for the development of its second exclusive Mythos model, this time based on the new CLE series. There will be a new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupe based on the new high-performance electric architecture (AMG.EA), more G-Class versions, the electric C-Class, and many more.
Moving to the land of imagination, the sky is the limit, as always. The latest idea comes from the digital automotive artist Emre Husmen, simply titled “emrEHusmen” on social media, who has decided that Mercedes-AMG needs yet another SLR in its life, and right now, rather than tomorrow. So, here’s an unofficial, hypothetical design project on the topic.
The original SLR was the W196S racing car, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, which participated in 1955 the 1955 World Sportscar Championship, but its domination ended prematurely due to the Le Mans catastrophe, a crash and fire that led to the death of around 84 people, now noted as the deadliest event in motorsport history.

The second one was the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren grand tourer, co-developed by Mercedes and McLaren Automotive, and offered as a coupe or roadster, but also as a speedster to deliver a proper, limited edition tribute to the original race car. This is also the case with the hypothetical Mercedes-AMG SLR third installment, which is a pure roadster concept lacking a roof or windshield.
It’s “inspired by the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR that won the famous Mille Miglia race in 1955 by Stirling Moss,” but the virtual artist also infused it with a modern style, complete with classic touches. Of note are the wings embedded in the carbon fiber front emblem, the gold Mercedes signature in the starry radiator grille, the tiny LED headlights, and the leather straps holding the hood and bumper both at the front and rear, and more.
It’s also riddled with exposed carbon fiber and features front-side exhausts, signaling that it’s not a fully electric monster. Instead, the pixel master envisioned a V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain with a total of around 1,200 horsepower, “blending classic style with pure aerodynamic surfaces and streamlined graphics.” Cool, right?
By the look of it, Mercedes-AMG could easily make it their third Mythos model if they wanted to. Also, we know there’s a Mercedes-AMG One with 1,049 horsepower and Formula One-derived technology. But this project could easily tower above that one in both performance and exclusivity, thus showing the 1,184-horsepower Ferrari F80 and 1,258-horsepower McLaren W1 how it’s properly done. So, what do you think – yay or nay?
