Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S Brabus Rocket GTS Mean Green

Anyone who knows a thing or two about cars is aware that Brabus tends to craft some of the finest vehicles in the aftermarket game, and their logo will always add value over the three-pointed star brand’s emblem (and not only).
 

The famous German tuner has signed some amazing cars over the decades, adding more models in its portfolio that we can name from the top of our heads, and has also left its mark on the exclusive AMG-designed Mercedes SL-Class from the latest generation. The project in this case is called the Brabus Rocket GTS, and it is no longer a roadster, but a veritable shooting brake, which is something that the entire automotive world can learn from.
 
As you can see from the images that Brabus shared on its official website, this build, which is officially called the Brabus Rocket GTS Mean Green, boasts custom naked carbon fiber bodywork that was crafted to create a real shooting brake body style. The Mean Green part of the project highlights its special paint, which the company says has a carbon glossy look. Besides this and the coachbuilding conversion, this machine also sports some Brabus badges and emblems, a double-B logo on the illuminated grille, and a few other bits and bobs.
 
The interior is just as special as the exterior and features the same Mean Green theme, complete with ‘ROCKET GTS’ embossing, ‘B’ logos, ‘Mean Green’ in ‘Shell’ stitching, and lots of high-end leather upholstery that was wrapped around most touchable components. There is also plenty of Alcantara on deck, which was the material of choice for the headliner and other parts of the cabin, as well as four floor mats in quilted leather decorated by the Brabus logos, and a cargo area that sports the same makeover.
 

Brabus says that the Rocket GTS Mean Green benefits from its sport springs that are height adjustable (10-20 mm/0.4-0.8 in), and sits on the so-called Monoblock P Platinum Edition forged wheels with carbon aero blades and center-lock styling. The fresh alloys, which measure 10.5×21 inches on the front axle and 12.22 inches on the rear axle, are also home to exclusive valve caps and were wrapped in 275/35 and 335/25, respectively, tires.
 
The 4.0-liter bi-turbo engine’s displacement has been increased to 4.5 liters and upgraded with Brabus’ turbochargers, as well as other features, including an additional engine control unit. The result is 1,000 metric horsepower, which is available at 6,300 rpm. The output equals 986 brake horsepower and 736 kilowatts, and the torque had to be electronically limited to 1,195 pound-feet (1,620 Nm) to preserve the internals and also the transmission, as it was initially rated at a staggering 1,342 lb-ft (1,820 Nm).
 
If you do not know what version of the new-age Mercedes-AMG SL the Brabus Rocket GTS builds on, it is the plug-in hybrid SL 63 S E Performance. As a result, despite having a practical 2+2 interior, the Brabus Rocket GTS truly is a rocket that can keep up with some modern supercars. It may not be the punchiest vehicle out there or the fastest, but it definitely stands out in a sea of blue-blooded exotics due to that shooting brake conversion, which truly makes it look out of this world. Let’s hope some automotive designers use their free will and sketch out something like this, as we have always said that the car world needs more shooting brakes, and not just crossovers and SUVs.
 
Since we dedicated quite a long story to this particular Brabus Rocket GTS Mean Green, we might as well tell you that it is for sale, and as you can expect from something like this, your pockets must be really deep if you plan to sign your name on the dotted line. Mind you, that is significantly more than the stock Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance, as this version of the roadster has an MSRP of $207,900 for the 2026 model year in our market.
