A Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 McLaren by MSO supercar is up for sale in Germany and it carries an asking price of €2.6 million (~$3.1 million).

Mercedes-Benz built the SLR McLaren between 2003 and 2009 and the 722 variant was one of the rarest and most desirable models sold. Not long after production had wrapped up, McLaren Special Operations got its hands on the SLR 722 and upgraded 25 cars.

MSO made a plethora of modifications to the car, including the fitment of new front and rear bumpers, a distinctive grille, a bold rear diffuser, and unique wheels. Each model also came equipped with revised steering and suspension components, as well as a special titanium sports exhaust system.

This particular example is number 12 of the 25 that were built and also features carbon fiber wing mirrors, carbon fiber sill panels, a carbon front splitter, and red brake calipers. The cost of the MSO upgrades set back customers a cool £150,000 ($205,615).

Powering all road-going SLR models was a 5.4-liter supercharged V8, which in the 722 variant put out 641 hp at 6,500 rpm and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm. The car can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 10.2 seconds, and continue through to a 209 mph (337 km/h) top speed.
