Although a great off-roader with a premium twist, the Mercedes G-Wagen does not get down and dirty. Most copies are mere daily drivers for their owners, and we can understand that hype, as this is one hot machine that offers plenty of room for the family.
We cannot remember how many stories we dedicated to the iconic G-Wagen (not G-Wagon, as it is short for Gelandewagen), yet that list keeps expanding with each copy that we write about. And it has just become longer with the example pictured above, which boasts one unusual yet extremely hot specification.
On the outside, this 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 features a glossy black look, which was applied to all body panels. It rides on black V-spoke wheels, has privacy windows, dark exhaust tips (side-mounted), and it looks like a million bucks, though it obviously costs way less than that, as from what we can tell, this is a stock machine.
Business on the outside and party on the inside is the say best used to describe this 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63. One needs to really like bright orange in order to appreciate the pictured truck, whose interior is bathed in this lively hue. You can find it on the dashboard panel, on the door cards, on the headliner, on the center console, on the seats, on the steering wheel, and on other components, with a touch of wood, metal, and glossy black trim for some contrast.
According to @limitedspec’s social media, which is where we found the images shared above, the car in question benefits from the AMG Ride Control and hasn’t had its oily bits modified. As a result, the engine, which is a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8, still pumps out 577 brake horsepower. This comes out to 585 metric horsepower and 430 kilowatts. As for the thrust, it is rated at 627 pound-foot (850 Nm). The engine drives both axles via an automatic transmission, enabling 0-62 mph (100 kph) in four and a half seconds.
Given its brick-like shape and the fact that it weighs as much as a small shed, the straight-line performance is very impressive. We should also tell you that the pictured 2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63, which is part of the model’s mid-cycle refresh, if you forgot, is searching for a new home on the World Wide Web. The quoted social media post does not reveal anything about the Benjamins, so one must reach out to the company to find out how much they will have to fork out for this G-Wagen.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 has an MSRP of $186,100 in the United States, so we wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the pictured example is worth in excess of $200,000 and probably close to the $250,000 mark.
