Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe All-White On 713-2 Forgiato Wheels

The first-ever Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe hasn’t exactly aged like fine wine, but then again, we’ve seen worse, like far worse. The model that replaced the AMG versions of the CLS has fallen victim to the tuning world multiple times, and the latest we stumbled upon won’t win any beauty pageants.

Can you tell what’s wrong with it? You are correct if you said the wheels, as the car comes with a set of oversized alloys from Forgiato. These have a three-spoke design that should’ve remained anchored in the 1990s, as they don’t suit a modern-day ride’s styling.

Christened the 713-2, the wheels are available in different diameters of 20, 21, 22, 23, 24,26, 28, and even 30 inches. Forgiato has chosen to keep the pricing details close to its chest, as the wheelmaker’s website doesn’t reveal how much this set costs. However, you could spend even more than the asking sum by choosing one of the multiple finishes available.

This Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe has an all-white look, with only a few black elements for contrast. It is a nicely-specified example, too, sporting a sunroof, red leather upholstery, and others. And speaking of red, it was applied to the brake calipers to somewhat tie the tweaked exterior to the lively cockpit. The privacy windows round off the redesign.

Do you know what these wheels remind us of? That would be the Brabus-tuned Mercedes-AMG SL 63 unveiled last summer. The project is called the Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition, a nod to the company’s founding father, who passed away in 2018 aged 62, with numerous upgrades inside and out and a healthy power boost.

The build is capped at 25 copies and rides on three-spoke alloys. These measure 10.5×21 inches at the front axle and 12×22 inches at the rear, wrapped in 275/35 and 335/25 tires, respectively. Contributing to the boosted look are the new apron, fender attachments, rear spoiler, and diffuser, as well as the sports springs and new exhaust system. Brabus’ logo decorates various components and can also be seen inside.

As you have likely guessed, the Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition boasts 750 European horsepower, or 739 brake horsepower/552 kilowatts. The thrust is rated at 664 lb-ft (900 Nm). Compared to the stock SL 63, it is 163 hp (165 ps/121 kW) and 74 pound-foot (100 Nm) punchier. With the extra oomph, 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) takes 3.3 seconds, up from the standard car’s 3.6 seconds, and it still tops out at 196 mph (315 kph).

A Bodo Buschmann version of the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 will set you back a lot of money, as we recently came across one listed for €356,881, equaling $387,569 at the current exchange rates.
