How to ruin a perfectly fine car, you ask? Well, just look at this Mercedes-AMG GT 53 4-Door Coupe, and you will understand how that is possible in a few very simple steps.

First, ditch the stock wheels and ignore the countless aftermarket ones that would have suited the design, and pick a set of flashy ones with a five-double spoke design and visible rivets. Then, paint them in gold, have the lips finished in chrome, and install them on the car. And if that is not enough, then you should also do something about the color, like turning it into an orange on flashy Forgiato wheels.

Subsequently, or perhaps in the middle of it all, have the windows tinted, and you will end up with the flashiest Mercedes-AMG GT 53 that we have ever seen. Sure, we may be wrong on the world’s ugliest GT 53 part, but from what we have encountered so far, this particular example is a very good candidate for that title. Ace1Whips on YouTube, which is where we found this car, calls the exterior “candy gold” and says that the alloys are 24 inches in diameter.

This Mercedes-AMG GT 53 is far from being an internet sensation. You already know how we feel about it, as we would have definitely left it bone-stock. Or almost bone-stock, as a set of nice and normal-sized wheels and perhaps tinted windows would be where we would draw the line. Well, these and maybe a power boost, as while this may be an AMG, it is far from being a V8-powered beast, as that applied to the superior GT 63.

The latter features a bi-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, and the lesser GT 53 has a straight-six that was assisted by an electric motor and a 48V electric system. In total, you are looking at 384 pound-feet (520 Nm) of torque and 429 horsepower with no outside intervention. The standard Mercedes-AMG GT 53 has a 167 mph (270 kph) maximum speed and the ability to reach 62 mph (100 kph) in four and a half seconds.

Are you curious about how much the 2026 model year costs in the United States? Well, at $113,000, which is the official MSRP, it is definitely not on the affordable side of things. The entry-level variant, which is called the Mercedes-AMG GT 43 4-Door Coupe and has 362 horsepower, hitting 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, starts at $102,100. The V8-powered GT 63 has 577 horsepower, does 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds, and starts at $158,350. The GT 63 S E Performance electrified variant sits at the top of the family, completing 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, and boasting 831 horsepower in total. Pricing for this model starts at $200,500.
