2024 Mercedes-AMG E 63 With Brabus Wheels & Several Colours

New Mercedes-AMG E 63 renderings with Brabus wheels and several colours. Which one is the best for it?

Mercedes-AMG has been testing the new generation E 63 for a good while now, yet for some reason, we haven’t seen much of it over the last few months. In fact, we haven’t heard about it since the all-new E-Class premiered in May, but between us, we’re more excited about the upcoming BMW M5.

The reason is simple, and it revolves around a single word: powertrain. You see, while its direct rival from the Munich auto marque will retain the twin-turbocharged V8, albeit with electric assistance for added power, reduced carbon dioxide emissions, and improved fuel consumption, the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 will no longer feature an eight-banger behind the Panamericana grille.

It has been reported that the engine of choice is a turbocharged inline-six, presumably with a 3.0-liter displacement. And the prototypes that drove in front of recording cameras certainly didn’t sound like they packed a V8. The straight-six gasoline burner will be assisted by an electric motor, which, in turn, will sip electrons from a 4.8 kWh battery pack – or so the rumor mill claims anyway.

While the old E 63’s bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 was good for 603 horsepower, the new one is said to boost the output to over 700 hp. Word on the street is that the combined torque will be rated at 888 pound-feet (1,200 Nm). Chances are it will be one or two-tenths quicker than its predecessor to 60 mph (97 kph), which needs 3.4 seconds. The top speed could be identical at 186 mph or 300 kph, as long as you check the AMG Driver’s Pack box on the options list.

In addition to the serious powertrain that won’t be as loud anymore, the next-gen Mercedes-AMG E 63 will set itself apart from the normal Mercedes-Benz E-Class by boasting a more muscular look. The front and rear wheel arches will be wider, and the bigger bumpers at both ends, complete with a diffuser at the back and an apron at the front, will join it. Look for the usual grille with vertical slats, a signature trait of all high-end AMGs these days, and four exhaust tips. The wheels will be exclusive to this model, and the AMG logos will bedeck it inside and out.

To some extent, the all-new E 63 will look similar to the one sketched out by kelsonik and shared on social media recently. The rendering artist used the normal Benz as a starting point, giving it sportier bumpers, fatter side skirts, new trim on the front fenders, a trunk lid spoiler, a new diffuser, and several other gizmos. The larger wheels came from Brabus’ stable, and the various digital paint finishes complete the design. If you had to choose one before their grand unveilings, would it be the next E 63 or the M5?
