A beautiful 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL that has been barely driven throughout the past four decades is looking for a new home – and potentially someone to finally put some miles on her.

Currently up for sale from Gallery Aaldering in Brummen, Netherlands, with a €49,950 (US$60,460) asking price, this 450SL was originally sold in the U.S. and owned by a single family until 2006, when it was exported to the Netherlands where it has lived ever since. The U.S. family clocked up 9,000 miles in the car while the one and only owner in Europe has added 2,000 miles more, the listing reveals.

Given how little this classic Merc has been driven, it comes as no surprise that the bodywork is in great condition and all the panels are said to be correctly aligned. The car has been repainted in its original shade of silver and is said to only show a few minor blemishes. Complementing the silver paint are burgundy red pinstripes.

Much like the outside, the interior has also been well maintained. The red leather trim is matched with a host of desirable accessories, including climate control, a center armrest, heat resistant glass, cruise control, courtesy lighting, fog lights, and a Becker Mexico radio. The listing adds that the car has had some parts preventatively replaced in recent years to keep it running perfectly, with the seller adding that it could be the world’s lowest mileage R107-generation Mercedes-Benz.
