Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Arctic Silver Edition Heading To US Dealers

Mercedes has just expanded its GLS offering by introducing a new range-topping version of its flagship crossover for worldwide markets that will also arrive in the United States in the coming months.
 

Christened the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Manufaktur Arctic Silver Edition, it features some exclusive design touches inside and out that set it apart from the standard GLS 63. One of the fresh touches includes the Cirrus Silver Magno paint finish, which is exclusive to this model and came directly from Manufaktur’s portfolio, which is the three-pointed star brand’s customization division.
 
Besides the new color, the special edition Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 features some sporty black and red contrasting accents. It rides on a set of multi-spoke forged wheels finished in matte black with red rim flanges and decorated by center caps that boast the AMG logo and laurel wreath touches in black and red. The alloys measure 23 inches in diameter and spin around a set of red AMG brake calipers.
 

On top of these, Mercedes-AMG’s new GLS 63 Manufaktur Arctic Silver Edition benefits from the AMG Night Package, bringing an AMG front splitter, air inlets in the front bumper, sill panel inserts, side mirror housings, rear fascia trim, and window surrounds in glossy black. The roof rails have a matte black roof, and the tailpipe trims are presented in dark chrome. The company says the heat-insulated tinted windows contribute to the vehicle’s dynamic appearance.
 
Mercedes didn’t stop here, as it also took extra care of the new model’s interior by fitting it with Manufaktur Carmine Red/Black Nappa leather upholstery throughout the cockpit. The seats have diamond quilting on them, there is an AMG Performance steering wheel on deck, an embossed AMG crest in the front headrests, carbon trim with red accents, special door sill trims with backlit AMG lettering, new floor mats, and that’s is pretty much where the German automaker drew the line.
 

There is no reference to the powertrain in the press release, so it means the handcrafted 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine is still on deck with 603 brake horsepower (612 ps/450 kW) and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque. The stock Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 does 0-60 mph (97 kph) in just 4.1 seconds, and there is no reason to believe the new 2026 Manufaktur Arctic Silver Edition variant behaves differently.
 
Only 450 copies of this vehicle will see the light of day for worldwide markets, and it is unknown how many are destined for the New World, where the first will touch down at select dealers later this year. Pricing is also unknown, yet one should expect to pay more than the usual Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, which comes with an MSRP of $149,500 in the United States of America.
