2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS It’s Time To Take A Look At The Most Realistic Ones Yet

The rendering world has started targeting the upcoming iteration Mercedes GLS, and after a few unrealistic digital illustrations, it’s time to take a look at the most realistic ones yet.
 

Shared online by Kolesa not long ago, these CGIs were based on the scooped Mercedes-Maybach GLS prototype we spotted at the end of April, hence the realistic approach. The three-pointed star brand’s flagship SUV, which guns for the likes of BMW’s X7, features reinterpreted front and rear fascias, although there’s more action at the front than at the back.
 
For one, the grille is shorter and a bit wider than before. Flanking it are new headlamps with different graphics, including the cool star-like touches, which are so cool that they should become a thing for the company’s entire modern-day vehicle lineup. The bumper is an evolution of the current one with similar side vents and a wider and shorter central air intake.
 
Since it’s a facelift, don’t look for anything new on the sides. The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLS will retain the door handles, side skirts, mirror caps, trim, and so on. The back end is home to a new pair of taillights with a new pattern and also hosts a new bumper and diffuser combo. The fake tailpipe trim is visible, and the tailgate was retained for the car’s mid-cycle refresh.
 

Mercedes’ 2026 GLS lineup has yet to spill the beans on its interior layout. However, it has been reported that the current screen setup might make room for a new one. We’re talking about the hyperscreen found on the EQS SUV, which could end up in the upcoming GLS. Mind you, this is a mere rumor and should be treated accordingly. Elsewhere, it will probably arrive with a tweaked center console, a new steering wheel, and new trim and upholstery.
 
The second facelift of the Mercedes GLS family likely won’t bring anything new in the powertrain department. The current one comes in the GLS 450, GLS 580, and AMG GLS 63 flavors in the United States, and the Maybach GLS 600 rounds off the offering. The latter carries an MSRP of $178,450 for the 2025 model year. It utilizes a 550 hp (558 ps/410 kW) and 538 lb-ft (729 Nm) of torque 4.0L bi-turbo V8. The base GLS 450 starts at $89,200 and features a 3.0L inline-six mild-hybrid rated at 375 hp (380 ps/280 kW).
 
Since the current Mercedes GLS family is in the 2025 model year, logic tells us the upcoming one will arrive at dealers for the 2026 model year. Reports suggest it could launch sometime next summer, so there is plenty of time for the automaker to refine other aspects further.
