Have you ever looked at the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance and thought that it needs more power? Probably not, as this is one extremely punchy machine. However, Brabus has, so it just came up with the so-called Brabus 1000 upgrade bundle, which lifts the car’s output and thrust to truly insane levels.

According to the famous tuner, the engine’s displacement has been increased to 4.5 liters, and it is still backed up by electric trickery. The result is 1,000 metric horsepower, which translates to 986 brake horsepower and 735 kilowatts. The peak thrust is 1,342 pound-feet (1,820 Nm), though in order to prevent unnecessary wear, Brabus has limited it to ‘only’ 1,195 lb-ft (1,620 Nm).

The standard model does 0-60 mph (97 kph) in 2.7 seconds, aided by its 4.0L biturbo V8 rated at 805 bhp (816 ps/601 kW) and 1,047 lb-ft (1,420 Nm) of torque combined. The tuned car is a couple of tenths of a second faster, topping out at 199 mph (320 kph), which is identical to the Brabus 1000.

Brabus does not usually go over the top in terms of boosting the looks of its projects, so the pictured Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance is far from being a kitschy build. In fact, we can dare say that it looks even better with the extras on the outside, which reflect its enhanced nature. These comprise a few add-ons at the front, including those side blades attached to the chin spoiler, the mirror covers, trim behind the front wheel arches, rear diffuser, and a few other bits and bobs. Naturally, everything has been crafted from carbon fiber. The tuner’s logo is also visible on the Panamericana grille.

The wheels are also on the special side of things, as the OEM ones were replaced by the new Brabus Monoblock Z. The forged alloys measure 22 inches at the rear and 21 inches at the front and have 12- and 10.5-inch widths, respectively. The distinctive 10-spoke set was wrapped in 305/30R21 and 335/25R22 tires, which are described as being “high-performance,” with Brabus mentioning its partners at Continental and Hankook as the manufacturers. The supercar has a black finish and Brabus-branded red brake calipers for contrast.

Did you think that the interior has been left unmodified? Well, that’s not the case, as the famous tuner has also left its mark on the upholstery, which is black leather with black Dinamica microfiber on the headliner. There are multiple red touches on the inside, too, as well as special embossing and the usual carbon fiber trim. If you noticed the number’ 77,’ you should know that it is a nod to Brabus’ founding year (1977). The pricing of the Brabus 1000 hasn’t been mentioned yet, though keep in mind that the stock car has an MSRP of $195,900.
