Mercedes-Benz has once again stolen the spotlight with the latest look of the 2026 GLE AMG. In its new model, this luxury SUV comes with a much more futuristic design, combining typical AMG elements with modern touches ala Mercedes’ EQ line. The front is the main highlight, where the typical “panamericana” grille is replaced with a full digital look design with a triangular motif that is often found on the EQ model, but still retains the iconic three-star logo in the middle. The headlights look slimmer and more aggressive, giving a sharp expression that depicts the high performance typical of AMG. The body lines are made more assertive and flowing, reinforcing the impression of aerodynamics and power. While the rims use a large multi-spoke design, giving an elegant yet sporty aura. The combination of bright red with matte black accents on the body kit and under spoiler gives a fierce impression that immediately attracts attention. Many netizens and automotive enthusiasts think this is a pure electric model because its appearance is very similar to the EQ family, but it still carries the DNA of AMG which is powered by gasoline.

Mercedes GLE AMG Gets Spotlight: Futuristic Design by EQ and Sharper Sporty Aura? REDESIGN

Mercedes-AMG GLE 63, as well as the lesser GLE 53 and the larger GLS 63, have been spied testing together a couple of months ago, featuring the usual trippy vinyl stickers on their front and rear fascias to partially hide the refreshed designs.

But what lies beneath the camouflage? Well, the common visual modifications that facelifted vehicles get. This means updated lighting units at the front and rear, different bumpers, and a few other bits and bobs. Their interiors should also feature some novelties, though don’t expect anything major, and there should also be some updates beneath the skin.

Having been scooped testing earlier this year, the 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 has now fallen victim to the pixel-rearranging crowd. Digimods Design dropped a video of this model earlier this week, showcasing it from two angles and imagining it in different hues. Nothing out of the ordinary so far, but what comes next will likely surprise you as this rendered model ventures into a different territory.

First and most importantly, it cannot decide whether it features electric or gasoline firepower. You see, while it has an EQ-inspired front fascia, which we will delve into in just a moment, as well as no visible tailpipes, the pixel artist forgot to remove the V8 logo from the front fender. Thus, take it as you will, though we should note that the facelifted iteration isn’t going electric, as it will retain its V8 recipe.

Now, as for the styling part, it has virtually ditched the Panamericana grille with vertical slats, replacing it with a different one with lots of stars that scream the early 2010s. Star-studded headlights are also on deck, with a thin light strip linking them together. Further down, it has a new bumper with the usual side vents and a central air intake.

The back end is presented with new star-studded taillights, a cleaner tailgate, a relocated license plate holder, a new bumper, and a more discreet diffuser. Moreover, as mentioned above, this hypothetical 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 does not have any tailpipes. It also lacks the usual badging on the tailgate, and when it comes to the rear three-quarter digital view, the V8 emblems on the front fenders are gone. Guess the ‘artist’ remembered it after all.

In terms of power, the 2026 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 won’t go down the controversial electrified four-banger route, as it will retain its V8 recipe. The 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 might undergo a few tiny revisions. Still, we wouldn’t our breath for more oomph, as the mill, with its mild-hybrid assistance, should still produce 603 hp (612 ps/450 kW) and 627 pound-feet (850 Nm) of torque, enabling 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds in the facelifted iteration.
