Mercedes-AMG G 63 Mansory P850 Out For Dinner & Movie In Paris

Meet the Mansory P850 based on the Mercedes-AMG G63 in Paris, France. Its exceptional sporty exterior in bright green mat with forged carbon fibre combined with a stunning interior in white and green, creating a cockpit designed for comfort and style. Performance numbers are increased into several stages up to 900hp, 1.200 Nm torque. CO2 emissions 350g/km (combined), consumption: 14.7l/100km (combined).
 

Unfortunately, Mansory still hasn’t learned what good-looking means, so the controversial tuner has maimed another Mercedes-AMG G 63. However, there is a thick line between ugly rides and deep-pocketed car buyers, so one thing is certain: Mansory will keep making money no matter how grotesque their projects are.
 
Speaking of revolting rides, meet Mansory’s latest build. It is a Mercedes-AMG G 63 christened the P850, which recently posed for the camera in Paris, France, next to the Eiffel Tower. Its new given name might trick some into thinking it packs 850 horsepower, but that’s not the case, as it is actually punchier than that.
 

The tuner says the German super SUV has 900 metric horsepower on tap, which is 887 brake horsepower/662 kilowatts and 1,200 Nm (885 pound-foot) of torque. It returns 14.7 l/100 km (16 US mpg) combined and emits 350 g/km of CO2.
 
By comparison, the stock Mercedes-AMG G 63 has 627 pound-foot (850 Nm) of torque and 577 horsepower (585 ps/430 kW) on tap. With no modifications, it needs 4.5 seconds to reach 62 miles an hour (100 kph) from a standstill, so given the extra 300+ horses, we reckon Mansory’s P850 is around one second faster.
 

Besides the power boost, this Mansory P850 sports an aftermarket body kit. The new components comprise the vented hood, front bumper, grille, fender flares, front quarter panel vents, side skirts, rear bumper and diffuser, Mansory-branded rear spare wheel holder, and roof attachments at the front and rear, in addition to other bits and bobs.
 
We have seen these wheels on other Mansory projects, and we still believe they’d look better on a Rolls-Royce – or at least a Maybach. Nevertheless, the tuner doesn’t give a flying hoot about that, and between us, these are the least controversial upgrades, as in addition to the aforementioned body kit, the punchy high-rider sports a light yellow matte look with a few forged carbon accents here and there, and additional lights.
 

Did you think they drew the line here? Well, you’d be wrong, as the cabin has been completely reupholstered in white leather upholstery with green piping and other green accents to tie it to the exterior. Mansory’s logo is visible on various components, including the steering wheel, center console, headrest pillows, and seatbelts. The tuner says the cockpit was “designed for comfort and style,” and we’d say that it is almost kitschy, especially for a G-Wagen.
 
We don’t know if it was commissioned or if the tuner modified it and is now looking to sell it, yet we’d lean towards the former rather than the latter. In conclusion, it’s not the worst Mansory-tuned Mercedes G-Wagen we have seen, but it’s far from being the prettiest, either.
