2024 Mercedes GLE Coupe Carlex Design Is So Blue Inside

Carlex Design is known for its special conversions including colorful interiors and other visual upgrades. The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Racing Blue is no exception to that rule, as it combines plenty of carbon fiber add-ons and a new set of 22-inch alloy wheels with a custom interior that is completely bathed in blue.

Interestingly, Carlex Design used the pre-facelifted Mercedes GLE Coupe as the base for their show car, although we are sure that the upgrades will also be compatible with the newer model. Exterior modifications include a prominent splitter, side gills, a large roof-mounted spoiler, intake garnish, and a rear bumper add-on, all made from carbon fiber. However, the highlight is the new set of 22-inch alloy wheels featuring spinners with the self-leveling Carlex Design emblem.

Moving inside you will feel like a smurf, as the entirety of the cabin has been reupholstered in Blue Racing leather. The only exception is the carbon-fiber insert on the dashboard, and the black leather accents matching the stitching and perforation patterns. As a final note, the tuner added its own emblems on the headrests, armrest, and dashboard. Owners of the special GLE Coupe will also receive Carlex’s Certificate of Authenticity, giving them more bragging rights.

Notably, this is not the first time Carlex gets its hands on a GLE Coupe as the tuner has previously shown two similar vehicles – the Brown & Orange and the Mint Edition. Both of them came with unique bi-tone color schemes, albeit with less extensive visual upgrades coming short of the aero extensions of the new Racing Blue model.

For previous projects, Carlex asked €32,000 ($34,917) for the interior upgrades, €16,000 ($17,459) for the exterior, and another €11,000 ($12,003) for the rims, although if you buy everything together you get a discounted price of €56,500 ($61,746). Interestingly enough, the Brown & Orange is listed for €152,500 ($166,609) as a full conversion, making it more expensive than the Racing Blue, which sells for €145,000 ($158,415).

Carlex didn’t mention which trim of the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe was used as a base for the builds, although judging from the pricing, it is definitely not the flagship Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe.
