Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro G-Power Unleashes Hell On The Clutch

G-Power may be best-known for modifying BMWs. However, if you take a look on its website, you will see that they also tune Lamborghinis, Porsches, and Mercedes-AMGs. Their latest project represents a hot take on the GT R Pro, which is simply stunning.

Mind you, it doesn’t stand out due to its custom body kit, as the front bumper, apron, whiskers, grille, side skirts, rear bumper, diffuser, and even the wing came from the factory. The same goes for the vents on the front fenders, special decals in black contrasting the yellow body, and other aspects.

No, no, as what truly makes this Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro special is what is found under the hood. According to G-Power, the German supercar now boasts 800 European horsepower. That comes out to 789 brake horsepower and 588 kilowatts. The thrust is rated at 664 pound-foot (900 Nm) of torque, and the whole package will set you back a cool €44,786.48 (equal to $46,660) in Germany.

The standard Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro came with 577 horsepower (585 ps/430 kW) and 516 pound-feet (700 Nm) of torque. The power produced by the popular 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 enabled this model to keep pushing all the way up to 198 miles per hour or 319 kilometers per hour. As for the naught to sixty-two mph (0-100 kph) acceleration, it was a 3.5-second affair.

While 800 ps may sound a bit too extreme to certain enthusiasts or perhaps too pricey, G-Power also offers lesser power boosts for the said model. In exchange for €10,580.49 (equaling $11,025), the tuner can give your GT R Pro 690 hp (700 ps/515 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm). The AMG can also enjoy 670 hp (680 ps/500 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) for €15,340.49 ($15,980). However, we reckon there is a typo there, but that’s what the tuner’s website revealed at the time of writing.

Besides the turbocharger upgrades, exhaust systems, downpipes, and other stuff that can boost the output and thrust of your Mercedes-AMG GT R, customers can also find other aftermarket features on G-Power’s shelves for this model. For instance, they can opt for a new steering wheel with a carbon fiber design, a set of velour floor mats, and, if money is no issue, then the tuner can also reupholster the interior in high-end leather upholstery available in different hues.

The pictured Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro has many yellow accents in the cabin and comes with the aftermarket sport steering wheel, extra carbon fiber, a special plaque on the center console, and several other bits and bobs. The wheels appear to have come from the aftermarket world, too, and the tuner has the Hurricane set available for grabs in two sizes.
