In December 2025, Mercedes introduced the new electric GLB, offered in the GLB 250+ and GLB 350 4Matic+ versions. Now, the mild hybrid variants—Mercedes GLB 180, Mercedes GLB 200/GLB 200 4Matic, and Mercedes GLB 220/GLB 220 4Matic—are also available, starting from €50,396.

Until now, the new Mercedes GLB was only available in electric versions: the GLB 250+ with a single motor starting at €59,047.80, and the GLB 350 4Matic+ with dual motors starting at €62,177.50.
Now, as in the case of the CLA, the Mercedes GLB is also available with internal combustion engines combined with 48V mild hybrid technology. Although it is technically a mild hybrid system—which in theory cannot power the car purely electrically—it behaves almost like a full hybrid and can propel the car on its own.
Under the hood is a new 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine developed in cooperation with Geely. The second-generation mild hybrid system includes a 22 kW (30 hp) electric motor integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission and powered by a battery with a gross capacity of 1.3 kWh.
At low speeds in the city, the Mercedes GLB can run purely on electric power for short distances. The electric motor, which also functions as a generator, can recover up to 25 kW of energy across all eight gears of the automatic transmission.
Five versions are available, all equipped with the 1.5-liter turbo engine:
– GLB 180, front-wheel drive, 156 hp (136 hp from the combustion engine + 30 hp from the electric motor), from €50,396
– GLB 200, front-wheel drive, 184 hp (163 hp + 30 hp), from €52,991
– GLB 200 4Matic, all-wheel drive, 184 hp (163 hp + 30 hp), from €55,204
– GLB 220, front-wheel drive, 220 hp (190 hp + 30 hp), from €54,835
– GLB 220 4Matic, all-wheel drive, 220 hp (190 hp + 30 hp), from €57,049
At launch, a special edition with the Night Edition package (€10,412.50) is available, which includes the AMG Line package, Advanced Plus package with Digital Extras, Night package, and AMG sport seats.
The AMG Line package costs an additional €2,380, while AMG Line Plus costs €5,581.
Three optional packages can be ordered in addition to the standard Advanced package with Digital Extras:
– Advanced Plus package (€1,517)
– Premium package with Digital Extras (€4,325)
– Premium Plus package with Digital Extras (€6,634)
Two displays are standard: a 10.25-inch screen for the digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch screen for the multimedia system. The passenger display costs extra and is included in the Premium package with Digital Extras. The head-up display costs €892.50, and augmented reality navigation is an additional €499.80. For better audio performance, the Burmester sound system with 16 speakers, 840W, and Dolby Atmos costs €1,077.
18-inch wheels are standard, while 19- and 20-inch wheels cost extra. Metallic paint options cost €892. A seven-seat configuration is also available for the combustion-engine versions, priced at €1,309.
Unlike the CLA, the Mercedes GLB can also be configured with adaptive suspension for €738.
