Pricing for the fully-electric Mercedes-Benz eVito van in the UK has been revealed, along with specifications. The environmentally-friendly hauler costs upwards of £40,895 ($54,629) and comes with a choice of two lengths and two trim levels.

The entry-level spec is dubbed Progressive, while the eVito Plus Package configuration (available for the first time) will set you back £42,015 ($56,125).

Standard features include the Audio 30 infotainment system with DAB radio, the reversing camera, anti-theft Protection Package with double locks, a new grille with chrome fins, and a Type 2, 8m, 32 amp charging cable for fast AC charging times.

Go for the Plus Package instead and you gain electrically fordable mirrors, color-coded bumpers, full wheel covers, a 75 mph speed limited and Parktronic parking sensors.

Also standard is the Mercedes Pro Connect function, offering free access to Optimized Assistance on the go. This includes real-time reports of critical parts and fluids, journey logs, theft warning alerts, live locking from mobile phone, geofencing, Accident & Breakdown Management, plus live traffic information. Furthermore, the van also boasts heater-preconditioning tech and will highlight all the available charging options nearby.

As for performance, the eVito panel van, not to be confused with the more powerful eVito Tourer, is powered by a 41.4 kWh battery pack, and can deliver 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque under acceleration. It also features a 92 mile (148 km) WLTP combined range, achieved in the balanced drive mode ‘E’ – to go with a six hour charging time, based on three-phase charging.
