The facelifted Mercedes-Benz EQV is celebrating its public debut at the ongoing Munich Motor Show and while not all that many changes have been made to it, it remains one of the most intriguing electric vans currently on sale.

Like the EQV that featured in press photos published by Mercedes-Benz back in July, the example in Munich is painted in an attractive light shade of gold. While it has license plates that read ‘EQV Prototyp’, this is very much the production model that customers will soon be able to get their hands on.

A handful of visual alterations have been made to the facelifted EQV to make it a little more appealing than the first iteration. The most obvious change is the fitment of a large faux grille dominated by gloss black. Mercedes-Benz has also completely revised the front bumper to eliminate the large grilles of the pre-facelift model, resulting in a much more premium and sophisticated look. A new set of Multibeam LED headlights have also been fitted up front.

The German carmaker has also designed new wheels for the EQV and rounded off the exterior changes with slightly different LED taillights.

The interior has also been updated to now include a pair of 12.3-inch displays behind a single glass panel. There is also ambient lighting as standard as well as plenty of metal buttons, air vents, and soft-touch leather.

It is not yet known if any mechanical changes have been made to the facelifted EQV. In all likelihood, it will also be sold exclusively in EQV 300 guise like the old model and equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack that is good for approximately 260 miles (418 km) of range. The pre-facelift model has been offered with a single electric motor rated at 201 hp and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque.
