Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG – Iridium Silver – Walkaround & Interior | Romans International [4K]
The CLK DTM makes 574 bhp, 3 bhp less than the new AMG GT R, thanks to an extensively modified 5.4 litre V8 which features new pistons, valve gear, crankcase, cooling system, exhaust, supercharger and more via a five speed automatic. 0-62 mph is dealt within 3.9 seconds before hitting the limiter at 199 mph.
However, this car is not all about the stats. It’s one of those AMG products where all manner of detail tweaks hint at the capability drive. Changes like an entirely redesigned rear axle with stiffer bushes, new hub carriers, reinforced driveshafts and redeveloped adjustable suspension all add to this cars astonishing performance.
Those incredible bodywork extensions to accommodate the wider tracks are formed from carbon fibre. The car has a deeper front apron, larger intake ducts, flared wheel arches and a boot mounted carbon fibre rear wing, all developed from DTM. The brakes were upgraded and the rear seats removed too. AMG went to town on the CLK DTM and it really is a racing car for the road.
