Mercedes has launched new versions of the trio of Mercedes me companion apps for owners, with new features and a simpler login.

The three updated apps: Mercedes me, Mercedes me Store and Mercedes me Service, are available for Mercedes owners to download now. Mercedes claims improved user functionality and a more intuitive interface and menu system, with a new look throughout the apps.

All three apps are now programmed using the same software platform, called SDK. The use of the same platform means owners need just one account and password to login across all three apps, using their Mercedes me ID.

The Mercedes me app links the smartphone with the owner’s vehicle. This allows the owner to look at key information remotely, such as mileage or battery charge, while remote commands enable vehicle pre-heating, unlocking and a new feature means the headlights can be flashed through the phone, to locate the car in a dark car park.

The Mercedes me Store app is where owners can purchase and subscribe to on-demand vehicle functions, while the Service app provides a reminder of service intervals, displays warning lights, and allows owners to book servicing or repairs at a dealership.
