AMG is notorious for making ordinary Mercs look, go, and sound like properly antisocial maniacs. But not always—sometimes, it gets the inclination to take its talents to the high seas. Today, AMG announced the latest chapter in a partnership with Cigarette Racing to build a special-edition watercraft. To make sure its land lovin’ customer base doesn’t feel left out, there’s a special-edition Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV that goes with it.

This is the 12th time AMG has collaborated with Cigarette Racing, and while its other work has been stellar, we think this is the best tie-up yet. The boat itself is called the 59′ Tirranna AMG Edition, and it is no joke. Carbon fiber is used extensively throughout to keep weight down, and it is power by not one, but six 4.6-liter V-8 Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines. Each engine makes 450 horsepower, bringing the total combined output of the boat to 2,700 ponies. The 59-footer can accommodate 25 of your best friends, too. Try cramming that sort of personage in your average G63—or any Mercedes that isn’t a Sprinter bus.

While the boat may have the boxy AMG SUV licked on total power output, the G63 Cigarette Edition is pretty cool in its own right. Down five V-8s on the Tirranna, it still makes a healthy 577 horsepower and can haul an entire family down Germany’s autobahn at a blistering 149 mph. The boat’s top speed? A paltry 80 mph.

Not only that, but some sweet looking yellow side decals, yellow trim on the outer edge of the wheels, and blacked-out badging will certainly help the G63 stand out on Rodeo Drive. Inside, there are custom carpets, macchiato beige and dark blue two-tone Nappa leather seats, and some badging to remind you you’re in something special—as if a normal G63 wasn’t special enough in its own right.

This is the first time the Cigarette boat and its roadgoing AMG counterpart have shared so much of their design features, and we think they both look ace. No word yet on how much the boat or the car is going to cost, but we’re sure it’s going to be plenty. Try to ensure your bank account has Michael Bloomberg levels of zeros in it if you’re interested.
