Prepare yourself for a powerful listening experience with the handcrafted AMG Performance Luxury Audio by @ixoost_modena

The world of automotive merchandising is perpetually expanding, and brands from Modena to Stuttgart, from Tokyo to Detroit, all want a piece of the pie. Ferrari is arguably the best self-marketing automaker out there, but Mercedes is pretty adept at parting fans from their hard-earned cash too.

The latest such attempt involves a bespoke, high-end home audio system made by iXOOST in Modena, a company renowned for its supercar-themed sound systems. The new speaker is clearly modeled after the design of the Mercedes-AMG GT, and with carbon fiber construction, the entire product weighs just 33 pounds. Like the car, it’s sure to pack a punch.

Handmade to the finest standards, the audio setup boasts a front end clearly based on the grille of the AMG GT supercar, complete with three-pointed star and AMG badging. On top, there are vents similar to those on the hood of the GT Black Series. Out back, a diffuser has been molded in while the profile of the system plays host to exhaust tips.

Inside the enclosure, you get some one-inch tweeters and a pair of six-inch subwoofers, guaranteeing phenomenal power and quality. If you’ve just picked up AMG’s new office chair, this is the ideal piece with which to complement it.

Unfortunately, neither iXOOST nor Mercedes-AMG has yet released pricing and availability information, but it’s safe to say that such a beautifully crafted item is unlikely to come at a bargain price. In the past, we’ve covered a Lamborghini audio system made by the same company, and that setup cost $24,000. Oh, and that was back in 2016, so you can imagine how things may have escalated by now. Whatever it costs, this is a truly unique audio system that is sure to be a great conversation starter, but is it garish or classy? We can’t decide, but we still want one.
