With the M-Class, the predecessor of the GLE, Mercedes-Benz paved the way for the premium SUV segment in 1997. Since then, several million customers have chosen an SUV from this model series. The GLE owes its exceptional agility on the road and superior off-road capability to modern drive technology in particular, where Mercedes-Benz has now once again made significant advances.

With a total of around 3,000 new or revised components, the new GLE presents itself comprehensively modernised. Distinct lighting details give the front a more striking character. Two horizontally arranged star motifs in the headlamps create a bold new visual signature. The illuminated central star and contour lighting of the larger grille optionally ensure an impressive presence. The Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), also new to this model series, transforms the GLE into an even more intelligent companion that understands, anticipates and evolves with its driver. MB.OS integrates and controls every aspect of the vehicle. This supercomputer utilises artificial intelligence (AI) and powerful chips and is connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud.
The standard MBUX Superscreen brings the digital world into the GLE. Ambient styles are available as background motifs in a dedicated app. This enables customers to create a personal atmosphere in the vehicle and enjoy the brand-typical “Welcome home.” feeling. New trim elements, the warm “Beech Brown” colour and further comfort features equally reinforce this impression.
Since Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile exactly 140 years ago, Mercedes-Benz has continuously driven innovation forward and created vehicles that set benchmarks and are coveted worldwide. With the new cloud-based damper control with AIRMATIC, the new GLE anticipates road bumps well in advance and electronically adjusts the damping beforehand – another example of how Mercedes-Benz continues to set automotive benchmarks even after 140 years.
The drive, the chassis, the driver assistance systems
With the introduction of a new engine range, the new GLE models convey a more dynamic and nimble driving experience. Numerous technical innovations enhance agility from the outset, while delivering impressive pulling power even on country roads. At the same time, the engines are already designed to meet future emissions standards and provide the brand’s hallmark high level of acoustic and vibration comfort.
The top-of-the-range V8 model, the GLE 580 4MATIC, is now noticeably more responsive in the important partial load range. Its rated power has increased from 380 to 395 kW. Maximum torque of 750 Nm (up from the 730 Nm previously) is available across a wide rev range from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm. The V8 responds more quickly, operates more efficiently, and delivers power more smoothly than before.
In preparation for future emission standards, the V8 now has a flat (“flatplane”) crankshaft instead of the previous crossed “crossplane” crankshaft. The ignition sequence alternates between both cylinder banks. The injection system, the exhaust aftertreatment with particulate filter, the intake and exhaust ports of the cylinder head, and the intake camshaft have also been optimised compared with the previous engine. Mercedes-Benz has also redesigned the compressor wheel and housing of the exhaust gas turbocharger. Two Lanchester balance shafts ensure exceptionally smooth running.
In the GLE 450 4MATIC, the six-cylinder petrol engine now responds even more quickly and conveys an even more refined driving experience, as more torque is available, especially in the partial load range. Furthermore, the rated torque has increased to 560 Nm, an increase of 12 percent. A new, more powerful electric auxiliary compressor, a cylinder head with optimised intake and exhaust ports, and a modified intake camshaft form the basis for these improvements. In addition, the combustion process and exhaust gas aftertreatment have been further optimised.
The GLE 450e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid is also based on this new, in-line six-cylinder engine and benefits from the comprehensive redesign. With an increase of 55 kW in power output compared with its predecessor, it delivers even smoother gear changes and an even more refined driving experience. Advanced technologies such as petrol particulate filters and pressure tanks are now standard worldwide, underlining Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to efficiency and future-ready performance. Thanks to a newly design MBUX menu structure, everyday use is even easier, from programming a departure time for charging to pre-conditioning the vehicle for maximum comfort before every journey. The pure electric range is 106 kilometres according to WLTP.
For the first time, the two six-cylinder diesel models, the GLE 350d 4MATIC and GLE 450d 4MATIC, are equipped with an electric heating catalyst. This brings the exhaust system up to the optimum temperature range early on and ensures that the temperature remains within the desired range throughout the entire driving cycle. The engine block (crankcase) and cylinder head are made of aluminium, which makes the engine lighter overall, reducing the weight on the front axle and improving handling. Other technical refinements include NANOSLIDE® cylinder liners, as used by Mercedes-Benz in Formula 1, and high-tech steel pistons with so-called shaker cooling. The reduced friction and improved thermal behaviour result in better overall efficiency.
All petrol and diesel engines have an integrated starter generator. The latter provides intelligent support in the low-speed range. When combined with turbocharging, this ensures outstanding power delivery. The system includes a 48-volt electrical system, which enables functions such as coasting, boost, and recuperation, resulting in significant fuel savings. In addition, the engines start incredibly quickly and comfortably with the help of the ISG. As a result, the start-stop function is barely noticeable to the driver, as is the transition from coasting with the engine off to powerful acceleration with engine power. In idle mode, the intelligent interaction between the ISG and the petrol or diesel engine ensures outstanding smoothness.
The GLE’s NVH behaviour has been further optimised through additional insulation measures compared with the previous models. The driveshaft tunnel and the engine partition are now lined with a particularly high-quality fleece material, and the engine cover has been fitted with a special heavy mat that effectively absorbs high-frequency combustion noises.
Exceptional ride comfort and maximum agility
With five multi-core processors and more than 20 sensors, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL responds predictively to any driving situation and ensures a unique driving experience. The control units analyse the driving situation 1,000 times per second and adapt the suspension accordingly. As a result, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL enables a very wide range of handling characteristics. With the help of the driving programmes, customers can choose between the comfort of a luxury saloon or the agility of a sporty SUV. Since this active suspension system can individually control the spring and damper forces on each wheel, it counteracts not only roll but also pitch and lift movements, culminating in a body that no longer dips when braking and accelerating.
E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL operates at 48 volts and can even recuperate electrical energy on poor roads, making the system particularly efficient. The 48-volt motor-pump units on all four wheels are coordinated by a central control unit.
The AIRMATIC air suspension and the standard suspension likewise deliver a modern, well-balanced driving experience. Both are tuned more firmly and sportily than before yet still combine this agility with a high level of comfort.

Support in every driving situation
The new GLE models are equipped with a new, water-cooled supercomputer processor. It has extensive power reserves for future driving assistance functions. To provide optimum driving assistance, each model is equipped with a variety of sensors: ten exterior cameras and up to five radar sensors and 12 ultrasonic sensors. These sensors work together with a powerful control unit running MB.OS. Artificial intelligence processes the sensor data to assess the traffic situation in the surrounding area.
In Europe, MB.DRIVE Standard is standard equipment with functions such as DISTRONIC distance control. MB.DRIVE ASSIST and MB.DRIVE ASSIST PLUS offer extended assistance functions depending on the market. MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO – available from market launch in China – enables a seamless and safe, point-to-point driving experience, even in dense city traffic. This will be offered in the USA a little later. Other markets, such as Europe, may receive this feature as soon as regulations allow.
MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST detects parking spaces on both sides of the vehicle at a particularly early stage. It also detects free spaces that are not marked by white lines. In addition, MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST can now assist with leaving a parking space – even if the vehicle was previously parked manually. If the function is activated, the system automatically carries out the parking manoeuvre at speeds of up to 5 km/h. This makes it around 60 per cent faster than the previous system.
The “reversing function” Digital Extra enables the vehicle to automatically reverse along part of the route it has just driven, with system support available under certain conditions. While this assistant is active, the image from the reversing camera and a graphic representation of the planned route are displayed on the main screen. This is particularly useful in traffic situations where turning manoeuvres are not possible.
MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360 offers new and improved surround views with its 360-degree camera and a redesigned human-machine interface. The digital extra “wheel rim protection warning” displays a top-view distance alert when manoeuvring, helping the driver avoid damage to the wheels.
The exterior and interior design and the latest generation of headlamps
The new GLE fits harmoniously into the current Mercedes-Benz design language while retaining the character of the popular off-roader. The new front bumper gives the vehicle a more enhanced visual presence on the road. Inside the redesigned headlights, two horizontally arranged star motifs and a distinctive visor create a striking new light signature. When the DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps are activated, refined blue ambient lighting appears beneath the stars, adding an exclusive, high-quality detail. The black panel seamlessly unites the headlamps and larger radiator grille into one harmonious unit. At the centre, the iconic star is set within a bold, optionally illuminated chrome frame and is surrounded by the unmistakable Mercedes-Benz pattern. The side air-intake grilles are further enhanced by a subtle Mercedes-Benz pattern. Additional highlights include the new generation exterior mirrors with a high-gloss black mirror base and a matching connection to the body. The large-area underride guard emphasises the GLE’s SUV strength and capability.
Both rear light clusters feature a pair of three-dimensional star emblems framed in chrome for increased recognition. A design trim in the tailgate visually combines the lights into a single element and emphasises the width of the GLE.
Dark Petrol uni and MANUFAKTUR patagonia red metallic are eye-catching new additions to the paint portfolio. Complementing these new colours are three new 20-inch alloy wheel designs that further enhance the vehicle’s presence.
DIGITAL LIGHT with micro-LED technology
The new GLE offers the latest DIGITAL LIGHT generation with micro-LED (“pixelated LED”) technology and a powerful chip as an option. The high-resolution lighting field is thus increased by around 40 per cent, enabling increased brightness for the high beam and for road projections. At the same time, the light module consumes up to 50 per cent less energy than its predecessor. The headlamps themselves also contribute to the careful use of resources: they offer the same customer experience but are more than 25 percent less heavy than their predecessors. This is due to the more compact design of the micro-LED and only one control unit. All software components are integrated into the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) and were predominantly developed by Mercedes-Benz.
The dynamic high beam ULTRA RANGE – with a range of up to 600 metres, which is the equivalent to around six football pitches – can now swivel for optimal illumination. The partial high beam function enhances the detection of poorly lit road users without dazzling others. Thanks to combined camera information and map data, the cornering light reacts even more precisely to the course of the road. The partial high-beam function is even more robust thanks to further improvements in the detection of poorly lit road users. The partial high-beam function is also available in the USA.
New interior colours, ambient styles, new trim elements, proven steering wheel controls
New trim elements and additional comfort features significantly enhance the interior of the GLE. The outer air vents for the first row of seats are now oval instead of square, seamlessly integrated into the ambient lighting and framing the impressive MBUX Superscreen on both sides.
A range of atmospheric ambient styles is available via a dedicated app, transforming the MBUX Superscreen into a living canvas of light, colour and emotion. These high-resolution background motifs dramatically enhance the unique visual impact of the Superscreen and are the result of meticulous craftsmanship by Mercedes-Benz UI designers. Each welcome animation is created with exceptional attention to detail, offering moods that range from calm to intense, cold to warm, and technical to emotional. These expressive designs give drivers and passengers the freedom to create a highly personal atmosphere inside the vehicle and enjoy the brand-typical “Welcome home.” feeling. The colour schemes of the instrument cluster, including the tube scales and the ambient lighting, are precisely coordinated with these emotional motifs.
Comfort seats with a new 3D design and elegant moccasin stitching combine modern aesthetics with an enriching seating experience. Mercedes-Benz has streamlined its product range based on customer feedback: the standard comfort seats now include electric adjustment of the seat cushion depth and the headrests as well as the steering wheel. As an alternative to the comfort seats, a Sports Seat Package is available for the AMG Line.
The warm colour “Beech Brown”, combined with black, is new to the portfolio and expands the selection of classic interior colours such as Black, Macchiato Beige, and Bahía Brown. The new colour combination is available in ARTICO and Lugano leather. In combination with the AMG Line, Leather Nappa/Leather is newly available, too. Also new to the AMG Line range is the two-tone Classic Red/Black version. Three new trim elements expand the possibilities for configuring the GLE to suit individual preferences: these include trim elements in dark brown open-pore birch wood and brown open-pore walnut wood. As a counterpoint, Mercedes-Benz also offers the new aluminium trim elements with flowing lines in a light accent colour.
When no front passenger is present, the seat occupancy detection for the front passenger seat is used to display the Mercedes-Benz pattern (stars) or a decorative image on the front passenger display. Customers can also generate a personal decorative image via the Mercedes-Benz app.
When it comes to the steering wheel, Mercedes-Benz has adopted the much-loved “rocker-and-roller” control concept. The galvanised-metal roller design enhances the tactile, analogue user experience.

MB.OS and MBUX
MB.OS, the Mercedes-Benz Operating System, transforms the GLE into an intelligent companion that thinks, learns and evolves with its driver. MB.OS integrates and controls every aspect of the vehicle. This supercomputer uses AI and powerful chips and is connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud. This allows for frequent over-the-air updates, enabling the GLE to remain up to date and attractive for many years.
This means that the vehicle can be conveniently customised even after purchase, offering a level of flexibility that truly sets it apart. The ever-expanding Digital Extras portfolio is available with attractive offers in the Mercedes-Benz Store and the MB.APP. From innovative navigation features to remote functions, GUARD 360°, on-demand functions, entertainment, productivity tools, driver assistance systems and tailored customer services, the portfolio continues to grow to match customer needs. Together with the attractive entertainment package featuring functions such as audio and video streaming, gaming and productivity apps, this unlocks a truly next-level driving experience for customers.
The new MBUX generation integrates multi-agent artificial intelligence (AI) from Microsoft, Google and ChatGPT. By combining the best of the latest technology, customers thus experience an even more intelligent and personalised digital companion. The MBUX Virtual Assistant taps into the collective knowledge of the internet, enabling it to engage in complex, multi-part dialogues.
MBUX Superscreen and passenger display as standard
The standard MBUX Superscreen brings the digital world into the GLE. Three 12.3 inch (31.2-centimetre) displays are located under a large glass surface. The MBUX Zero Layer displays the most important information and recommendations in the configurable footer bar. Users also have the option of arranging their apps as they wish and grouping them in self-named folders, making access a highly intuitive and personal experience. More than 40 apps are currently available, covering audio, video, gaming and a range of other services.
For anyone who appreciates a spatial display, the 3D driver display is available as an option. At the touch of a button, it switches into 3D mode. Yet high-tech delivering genuine customer benefits extends beyond the driver’s seat: For front passengers in Europe and many other countries, the standard display enables them to view dynamic content while the vehicle is in motion. TV or video streaming is available from Disney+, YouTube, and RIDEVU (in selected markets) and more local providers. A camera-based system monitors whether the driver is still looking ahead at the road. If there is a risk of distraction, the image on the passenger display is automatically dimmed. Front passengers can operate the content via the touchscreen and, in the case of content with sound, listen to the audio signals via Bluetooth headphones or the cabin sound system.
For the first time in the GLE, a head-up display with augmented reality content is available as an option. It displays relevant information and actions in three dimensions in the real driving situation and environment. The display area has a diagonal measurement of 18 inches (45.7 centimetres), and a virtual colour image appears to float in the field of vision at a distance of approximately three metres.
MBUX Virtual Assistant with a choice of appearances
As a “living” avatar, the MBUX Virtual Assistant is always present on the central display. In the standard setting, it is blue, or silver in AMG Line models. The virtual assistant also uses bespoke animations to signal whether it is currently speaking, listening or processing information. Movement, brightness, intensity and colour interact seamlessly to communicate intuitively with the driver.
In addition to the classic star avatar, there are two other representations of intelligence. The first is a human-like avatar that emerges from a densifying cloud of stars and connects with the user in a technological, futuristic way. The second has a more emotional and playful character. With expressive animations, it has its own distinct personality that brings humour and warmth to every interaction.
Navigation with familiar user interface, MBUX augmented reality available for navigation
In the new GLE, the navigation experience is based on Google Maps. The unique guidance system offers Mercedes-Benz customers the best of both worlds: Google Maps technology and the much-loved user interface and proven services of Mercedes-Benz.
MBUX Augmented Reality for navigation overlays graphic navigation and traffic information onto live images, which is particularly helpful in complex turning situations (e.g. in cities or on confusing motorway exits). Three-dimensional animated arrows show the driver the correct exit. A camera captures the area in front of the vehicle. Virtual objects and information are superimposed on this video on the central display.
A particularly convenient feature is the ability to lock, unlock and start the GLE using the digital vehicle key. All the driver needs to do is carry his or her mobile phone with them. In the latest generation of this access system, and depending on market availability, the vehicle automatically locks or unlocks when the user with the vehicle key approaches or moves away. This feature can also be deactivated via the head unit if desired. The digital vehicle key works with most iPhones and Android phones.
A digital customer experience: In-car payment and video conferencing
With In-Car Payment, paying on the go becomes a seamless experience. Digital extras such as the entertainment package or e-vignettes can be activated and paid for directly through the Mercedes-Benz Store. This allows customers to continue their journey with ease, while the vehicle takes care of the rest. No separate PIN entry or mobile device authentication is needed, as the native In-Car Payment function, Mercedes pay+, enables biometric two-factor authentication for in-vehicle payments. The system uses the new multipurpose interior camera for identification. Customers’ payment data is encrypted and protected by transaction-specific cryptograms. Mercedes pay+ is provided by the in-house payment solution Mercedes pay, which enables convenient and secure digital payments for the entire Mercedes-Benz ecosystem.
Whether on the way to an important appointment or between meetings, the GLE transforms into a mobile office, ensuring efficiency without compromise. A variety of sophisticated video conferencing apps are available via the in-car app store. These include a new version of the “Meetings for Teams” app, which takes productivity in the car to a whole new level. It allows drivers to use the car’s camera while driving, so that other participants can see them during a meeting. As Mercedes-Benz places a strong emphasis on safety, the use of the camera complies with the laws of the respective country and has been approved for use while driving. To minimise distraction and maximise safety while driving, the meeting video automatically switches off as soon as the camera is activated. This means that drivers cannot see shared screens or slides – and the camera can be switched off at any time.
“Transparent bonnet” as an orientation aid
The “Off-Road Mode” in MBUX turns special content such as gradient, roll angle, compass and steering angle into a visual experience. In conjunction with the MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST 360, it offers the “transparent bonnet” function. When the Off-Road Mode is active, the central display shows a virtual view under the front of the vehicle, including the front wheels and their steering position. The view is composed of the images from the 360° camera. The “transparent bonnet” technology is extremely helpful as it enables the driver to better recognise obstacles such as large stones or deep potholes in the path of the vehicle. This function also offers advantages when driving over ramps or crests.

The suspension control, the panoramic sunroof, the interior
The latest evolution of AIRMATIC delivers an almost gliding ride, with intelligent damping control providing noticeably greater comfort over longer artificial speed bumps. Such bumps are particularly common in southern Europe.
This new, smooth and sophisticated driving experience is the result of cutting-edge suspension technology and the unique community of Mercedes-Benz drivers who support each other. Once the intelligent damper control function is activated, the damping is electronically adjusted shortly before the respective speed bumps to ensure greater comfort. This increase in comfort is particularly noticeable in the rear. Mercedes-Benz developed the function itself and has applied for a patent.
The basis for the damping adjustment is “Car-to-X” information. This safety system enables a Mercedes-Benz vehicle travelling ahead to transmit hazard data anonymously to the Mercedes-Benz Cloud in real time via the mobile network. “Car-to-X” refers to communication between vehicles. Because the sensors of other cars are also used, the technology significantly extends the coverage area of the vehicle’s own sensors, such as radar or camera systems. “Car-to-X” technology thus enables the car to “see” around corners, so to speak.
The new cloud-based damper regulation can be combined with both the AIRMATIC air suspension and the E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL active suspension. E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL (optional extra) works in conjunction with AIRMATIC to increase the range between driving dynamics and driving comfort. Because this active suspension can control the spring and damper forces on each wheel individually, it counteracts not only roll but also pitch and lift movements.
Large panoramic sunroof now standard
All GLE models now come as standard with a panoramic sliding sunroof. With over one square metre of glazing area, it ranks among the largest of its kind in a production SUV, featuring glass panels that span the full width and length of the roof. One section can be raised electrically and slides generously over the fixed rear glass panel.
The glass roof offers a clear view of the sky from every seat, including the optional third row. For effective thermal insulation, it is made entirely of tinted, single-pane safety glass. And when the sun becomes too intense, the roof can be shaded along its full length with an electrically adjustable roller blind.
Plenty of flexibility in the interior, third row of seats on request
The generous space can be easily adapted to any requirement. A fully electrically adjustable second row of seats is available on request. The right and left seats, split 60:40, can be adjusted separately by up to 100 millimetres in length, and folded down in a 40:20:40 ratio. The backrests can be adjusted by 18 degrees, offering a choice between a cargo position for maximum luggage space (the optimum torso inclination depending on body size and personal preference) or a relaxed sleeping position for children in child seats. The settings are operated via the switch in the door trim. The rear seat backrests can also be folded down completely electrically using a separate switch panel in the luggage compartment. Access to the optional third row of seats is provided by an electric easy-entry function, which opens up the passage to the rear at the touch of a button.
Even the rear seat system in the standard version, with its continuous bench seat, 40:20:40 split-folding backrests and fold-out centre armrest, offers the flexibility to enlarge the boot when all five seats are not needed. The folded-down backrests extend the boot’s loading area without a step to the front.
The luggage compartment volume ranges from 630 litres behind the rear seats (up to 825 litres with adjustable rear seats) to 2,055 litres with the second row folded flat.
High towing capacity provides the capability to transport boats, horse trailers and large caravans
With a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes the GLE is ideal for demanding leisure activities and challenging transport tasks. Boats, horse trailers or large caravans can be moved with ease. When towing, drivers are supported by ESP® trailer stabilisation.
The function can detect when the trailer begins to sway. If such a situation arises, targeted braking interventions are applied to counteract the movement, up to and including braking the entire vehicle-trailer combination. Once the trailer’s oscillations have subsided, the system ceases to intervene. The AIRMATIC and E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL systems also automatically adjust to a connected trailer and regulate the vehicle height and damping accordingly.
Clean air with the new electric cabin air filter
Whether stuck in heavy city traffic or driving through a tunnel, the new GLE continuously works to purify the air you breathe – completely renewing the interior air approximately every 90 seconds for all occupants. At the heart of the system is an advanced, multi-stage filtration concept with an electric filter, ensuring exceptionally clean air and further reducing unpleasant odours. The incoming outside air is effectively cleaned of harmful and unpleasant components using this multi-stage concept. In the first stage, the outside air passes through a pre-filter that traps larger particles from the airflow. Next, an electric filter ionises fine dust particles, enabling excellent filtration at the interior filter. While the pre-filter only cleans the outside air in the first filtration stage, the interior filter is also active in recirculation mode.
ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL intelligently monitors air quality inside and outside the vehicle using fine dust and air quality sensors. Through the intelligent networking of sensor data, the system detects nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and fine dust particles of size PM2.5 in the outside air. PM2.5 particles have a diameter of 2.5 micrometres or less, which means they can only be seen under an electron microscope. When the air quality and fine dust sensor readings reach a certain level, the climate control system automatically switches between fresh air and recirculation mode.
Efficient windscreen cleaning with MAGIC VISION CONTROL
For the first time in the GLE, MAGIC VISION CONTROL offers intensive cleaning of the windscreen. When the vehicle is stationary, and temperatures are above freezing, an intensive cleaning programme can be started by pressing and holding the wash button. Nozzles in the wiper blades first spray the entire wiping area with washing water. The wiper blades then remain in this upper position for approximately 30 seconds. This softens even stubborn dirt, allowing it to be wiped away effortlessly. MAGIC VISION CONTROL is optionally available.
Burmester® sound culture presented in an elegant design
There’s an upgrade to the premium sound system: The new Burmester® 3D surround-sound system is available upon request. With Dolby Atmos, it enables an incomparable multidimensional music experience. This sound system comprises 15 speakers, including two new 3D speakers in the roof control unit, and the sound amplifier now delivers 710 watts instead of the previous 590 watts. The premium sound system stands out thanks to its elegantly designed speaker grilles with Burmester® lettering and exclusive presentation within the MBUX. All settings are clearly grouped together in a separate premium sound tile.
In addition, the premium sound package opens up additional functions such as Dolby Atmos and ‘Personalised Sound’, ensuring an even more immersive listening experience. In the ‘Personalised Sound’ menu, alongside the classic equaliser function, there is also the option to choose ‘Personal’. Here, a digital setup assistant can be launched. Through six questions, this intelligent wizard generates a sound setup that’s perfectly tailored to individual listening preferences. For example, it asks how prominent the high tones should be, the desired volume for the beats and the preferred bass characteristics. Intuitive, easy-to-understand icons, such as a violin or a drum set, make it clear what each question is about, even without any musical background. Based on these responses, an intelligent algorithm then calculates the ideal sound experience for the specific customer.
Even with the standard sound system, Mercedes-Benz now employs an external amplifier positioned in the rear of the vehicle. Delivering an output of 150 watts, it offers impressive power reserves, ensuring rich, dynamic sound and outstanding performance across all entertainment functions.
